Not sure how this place only has a 4.3 average review. I mean don’t compare it to a high end steak house, but the food is absolutely delicious and the service is great! Local, owner operated, and not a chain! Big support!!

The guys behind the counter are very easygoing in a good way, seem considerate, and great at what they do. The food itself is a little bit pricey, but I like coming here and I appreciate having it in the neighbourhood. Everything I’ve tried has tasted perfect and I like that the options are familiar, but a little elevated.
Decided to try this place because the food looked good from Google. And the website looked like it was a nice cozy cafe.
4 of us came in for lunch, we were not greeted by anyone. The guy in the kitchen saw us but didn’t say anything. Then one of us had to go over and get his attention to ask if it’s ok to sit and ask how to order. We grabbed our own menu that was on the front table on our way to a table. When it was time to order, a girl comes back to punch in our order, it seemed like she didn’t know anything as she wasn’t familiar with the menu items and asked the chef constantly if they had x item (she must’ve been new). The weird part was that she would ask the guy questions and he would sometimes answer because he had his headphones in. In any case, ordering was a painful process. I understand it could be due to short staffing/ having new hires. But the general vibe that we felt that the chef was upset and did not want to help the girl out. And it was just awkward for all of us.
On a side note, I also noticed the menu pages were all over the place. They were not consistent between booklets.
The food looked good, but if you look closely, it’s a health hazard. The coleslaw is visually not fresh, you can see the cabbage is black. I didn’t touch the coleslaw… the fries were a bit salty (personal preference, doesn’t matter) and then the wings…
I was down to my last few wings and I had to suddenly spit the wing into my napkin. It tasted like mold. There’s nothing else out there that has that has the same distinctive taste as mold (if you’ve had moldy bread before). Never been to place where there was such a lack of concern over food safety. Will not come back again purely because they still serve ingredients that have literally gone bad. Disgusting.
Great brunch options with vegetarian and vegan options.

Very friendly, great food seems to all be made from scratch. Always fresh. Sometimes a little confusing at the cash for your order but stop always make up for it in customer service. Definitely recommend going My only recommendation would be for the price of coffee does not match the size or the quality but that is the only true improvement I truly can offer. Their patio is incredible The restaurant indoors is quite large very spacious providing lots of privacy if wanted from other customers with the ability to choose wherever you want to sit. Their million dollar dessert squares or bar is phenomenal.

I expected homemade-style food, but in reality, I saw that the chef hadn’t washed their hands, was handling food and dishes without gloves, and touched them with bare fingers. I ordered pumpkin soup, which was taken from a container, poured into a dirty pot, and attempted to be reheated. The pot fell, spilling the soup, and it was still served to me. The soup was not fresh; it had a slight fermentation taste and a fizzy sensation, so I was afraid to eat it. I also ordered something like a cheburek, which was very greasy and oily. The price was $25. I expected something tasty, was very hungry, but this is what I got instead. Sorry

Cozy location, wonderfully strong hot chocolate, friendly staff, and fantastic quality in-house baked gluten free bread that made my BLT taste amazing. Can't recommend enough! Also a nice array of baked goods.

Ordered the mushroom dish for breakfast. Really really good. It tasted like I imagined it was going to taste. I cannot emphasize how delicious it was. It’s not easy to hide behind a simple dish but it was perfection. I would order the same thing again without even thinking about it if I came here again.

Ate here for the first time in a while after a few disappointing experiences and it was delicious! I’m glad they’re making improvements to the quality.
