Best Chicken curry and spring rolls
Not worth it. Price is too high for tue quantity and quality.
Green Papaya - quality issues - food doesn't taste like Thai Food
We ordered 2 Chicken Pad Thai, 1 Shrimpt Pad Thai, 1 Chicken Curry.
Pad Thai had just a little bit of chicken and noodles and sauce and nothing else. It was bland, and no other items like bean sprouts, eggs etc that is part of normal Pad Thai. There was no flavour, no peanuts or peanut sauce provided. This is like non Thai people making Pad Thai or complete cost cutting for a $17 plate. Pictures on the website show a different version of what wa sent home. The Curry was a joke, it was basically boiled chicken and a sprinkle of carrots and peppers. no coconut milk in the curry at all. There was no flavour and it was simply boiled food.
Bland food, simply cost cutting to not add other ingredients that are paf of Pad Thai.
HORRIBLE.
Don't waste your money.
Green Papaya franchise is need of help to get its value and quality of food back to par as this is not going to keep them in business.
I also remember the other Green Papaya on Baseline to be the same and have not eaten there since our last experience.
Very few Thai places use real basil and Thai spice. These guys literally have a mini garden for basil they pick from.
I eat a lot of Thai. Most places pass as good but they over cook their veges a lot and it’s still good because Thai food.
Green Papaya is the legend tier of Thai in Ottawa. Never been done bad here with over 100 visits under my belts. Always phenomenal. Best Thai in Ottawa, from portions to flavor to consistency, to the sit down, to the peanut sauce, to the heat of the food that actually makes you sweat.
Pas kra pao for heat is my go to but their curries are great. Always get a steamed rice on the side
The presentation of the food is art, not to mention delicious. Very impressed with this place. The atmosphere is great too. I will be back for sure.
Lovely service, tasty food and calm/pleasant atmosphere
Ordered their pad thai on uber eats as most of the reviews seemed good. I’ve had their pad bai gra prow many times before and liked it, so thought I’d give a classic a go.
I wanted so badly to like it, but as other reviewers have noted it was far too sweet. As well as that, it was incredibly saucy — like sauce overkill. Any complexity was lost. It was truly like eating egg noodles with hot ketchup, so if that’s your thing you may enjoy this.
If it isn’t, try the pad bai gra prow for a couple extra bucks.
Our family visited the restaurant after hearing so much about it, but overall, it was just okay. The chicken satay was tasty, but the pad thai was far too sweet for our liking. The Panang curry and coconut rice were decent but unremarkable. While the food wasn’t terrible, the portion sizes, compared to other Thai restaurants, were small. Additionally, parking is extremely limited. We might skip it next time.
Good food and atmosphere. There is room for improvement in service.
Delicious food, cozy home feeling and the sweetest staff. I’ve been twice already and can’t wait for the third.

Outstanding food, very high quality
The food is amazing and the service is top notch. Contrary to other reviews, we did not find it expensive, considering recent inflation. Some of the furnishings are worn, but the atmosphere is cozy and the place clean. Highly recommended.
