Green Papaya, I will say up front it might be my heart that is a little bias because of my history there but I’m speaking from my stomach!I’ve been here at least 2 dozen times because it’s a guarantee every single time. The service and atmosphere are what you need or expect. First date? You know the restaurant has you covered for beautifully presented, delicious food. Just reserve/ask for a separate “Date” table. A few spots are a little close to others if you want to be more personal.Savoury, hot and fresh dishes of all spice levels if you’re adventurous. Portions are always filling and priced to match. It is an older restaurant with its atmosphere but it’s a comfortable and still up to any date standard. It’s a main meal restaurant so drinks and dessert can be found all along Preston. Gives you a chance to either stretch the legs and extend your date on a nice little walk to the next location or find your exit strategy.Have fun and enjoy your night!Vegetarian options: There are plenty of dishes to choose from and they are always so eager to please. Just ask or let them know and they will always do there best. Worst case, call ahead.Dietary restrictions: My wife is Celiac and she always has plenty of options. They are also very accommodating, just politely ask!Parking: Parking is tough for anything on Preston. Luckily a half block away is a paid parking. Just pay, it’s worth it.

Lovely restaurant. Food was delicious. Not a lot of vegetarian choices but what we had was delicious.

The food is fine and it is nice that they give out free shrimp chips. One of the ladies are nice but many of the male waiter and waitresses are not the nicest. The beef is quite chewy but it has good flavour. Their furniture is not good at all and very old. We once had to wait a very long time to get seated when it was not that busy and the waitresses kept walking by us, we did not even get greeted. I really just wish the service was better, they also took awhile to take our order and give us our bill. The waitresses ignored our table many times and I found the experience inappropriate and unfortunate. To add, their parking area is horrible and I wouldn’t mind that if their customer service was at least good.

We had ordered food from Green Papaya’s food trucks before, but this was out first time eating at the restaurant. Food and service was excellent. We both had Pad Thai and it was delicious. Highly recommend the Green Papaya and the Pad Thai.

Our food was served very soon after we sat down. The atmosphere was very relaxing. I had the Pad Tofu, which tasted okay. My friend really enjoyed her chicken and cashew dish. The waitress (Susan) is efficient and does her job well. The atmosphere, service, and food are great; but this might not be the best option for vegetarians and vegans.

The food was fabulous, and there was enough there to bring home for lunch the next day. This is our new go-to restaurant when we attend concerts at Gigspace!

I get takeout here pretty often and it never disappoints. The Green and Red curry are heavenly with anything you put in them and I never get tired of it.

Food was so-so. The beef in the Curry Beef was too chewy. The Pad Thai was soggy with too much tomato ketchup taste. Furniture is old and worn. The server seated us on worn-out upholstery benches (vinyl surface flaked off completely), which I thought was not appropriate.

Good service here with great menu variety. Staff were quick and attentive and the food came out quickly. I’m excited to go back and try more menu options.

Easily the Best Pad Thai I've ever had in Ottawa, the flavour and consistency everytime is appreciated, although I prefer the Preston location to the Baseline one. Simply delicious and gracious staff.

At the end of our meal, we saw a rat run across the dining room.

I really enjoyed the chicken pad Thai. Seems like a diverse menu. Staff are attentive and professional. Parking around the corner. Decor needs updating (peeling benches etc).

Delicious meal and it was quick service too before a show at the Gladstone Theatre around the corner. Thanks for a great dinner.
