Food, service, atmosphere -- everything is amazing here. Incredible experience to dine here. I've never had something like it. My girlfriend and I always have so much fun eating here. The food quality is super high, and the prices are very low. They should maybe even charge more, but the low prices are part of the reason we keep coming back. We always go with the vegan dishes, and have always been super happy.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible. No stairs to get in. Door opens to the sidewalk. Might be a couple small stairs to toilets.

Really good food, even if I didn't know exactly what I was eating at certain points. The lentils were amazing, the spices was so good. The raw beef was something new to me and was really tasty. The food came fast and the prices were really good.

If you haven’t been to Hareg, you’re missing out on a true gem of a culinary experience. This warm and inviting, unpretentious restaurant serves DELICIOUS Ethiopian food and gives you an educational experience at the same time. The walls are decorated with photos of the country with text that shares with diners the ancient, impressive history of the land and its people. We are jealous of those that live in Ottawa because we want to go back again and again and try everything on the menus! Sadly, we were just visiting. Thank you for sharing your Ethiopian culture and cuisine with us!

Amazing hospitality, I visited out of curiosity as I asked about the coffee, and the man was nice and gave me a seat and treated me with a complimentary coffee, the best and freshest-made coffee I ever had. I realized that this was the first time I had ever tried REAL coffee, and it was amazing. The atmosphere was also incredible with traditional Ethiopian decoratians, art and history.

Had a craving for injera and I'm so glad we found this place! Everything was so delicious and staff was friendly. The wait for the food was a bit long but worth it as everything tasted freshly made. Coffee was sooo good. We will be back!
Had the spicy stewed beef and the lentil sambusa. Both were delicious, especially the stewed beef. Every part of the meat was soaked in delicious spicy sauce. The spice definitely had a good kick. Probably too much for someone who doesn't tolerate spice well. And it was served with injera bread with it's classic sour taste. The stewed beef dish filled me and I have a big appetite.
