bring up your game Heart&Crown I came with a group and ordered meals worth hundreds of dollars and yet we saw our server 3 times over 90 minutes She didn't bring us cutlery until we asked and then she forgot my order. She also forgot to take the nachos and also left the menus that i had to put on another table when our appetizers came maybe you've gotten too big and need to hire more and more veteran staff
I can’t explain how pleased I was with the service I received at heart and crown on Clarence. I have been to this bar many times and have never been disappointed by the food, drinks, or atmosphere. All the staff are always accommodating and make great suggestions. One bartender who always stands out is Kyle. I have been in a few times with friends and Kyle remembered my name and my order! He creates a fun and inviting atmosphere and is quick to go above and beyond. On weekends heart and crown appears very busy but Kyle seems calm and under control, while serving customers efficiently! Love the fish and chips and perogies, and I am excited to try more of the menu. I wish they sold Jameson, but otherwise I cannot think of one bad thing to say about this place! Special shoutouts also go to Mackenzie, Justin, Myles, and dalton who are also stellar and bring the fun.

I enjoy seeing the great entertainment of Jasen Colson on Monday nights.
The burgers are very good, but kinda small, as is the poutine. Service is very good and friendly.
The prices are a little out of my budget.
I hate that the debit machine's tip % starts at 18%. I'd prefer it to start at 15%. As a person who works for minimum wage, and doesn't receive tips. It makes me feel bad I can not afford to leave the minimum tip %.
Great place, casual, nice atmosphere. Feels like a neighbourhood pub. The brisket and the house special burger were absolutely delicious.

It’s been awhile since I was in this place. Got outside seating in the court yard. Friday evening and not too busy yet.
Attentive and responsive staff. Good ambience in the courtyard away from street level noise and reasonable conversations are possible.
Good pub menu and tried the fish and chips and the in house pudding. A very good choice.
A recommendation in the market.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch and this place was excellent. Simone seated us immediately and gave us menus. Kyle came by and asked if we had any questions and took our drink order. He gave us a recommendation and took our order. He was very accommodating. They food was superb, the service excellent and the atmosphere was great. We highly recommend this place.

This place is a blast! We were there recently with a large group of very enthusiastic women cyclists and the staff here were so friendly and accommodating! We returned the next night, though much less rowdy we still had a great dinner!

The Heart and Crown in the Byward Market is a local icon and is the best Pub in greater Ottawa. Great variety of beers, awesome food and service and the Irish decor is like being in the UK. There is always some great local entertainment and the staff go over and beyond to make the clients feel welcomed and more. Did I mention the best fish and chips, you gotta give this dish a try.

If I go to Ottawa again, I will definitely go here for lunch. One of the waiters, whose name I unfortunately don't know, was very polite and kind, a handsome young man.

Busy area
No parking at all
Not a good experience
Twenty two dollars for a tiny bowl of dip with a few chips and a couple of pieces of pita is outrageous. Add insult to injury wait one hour for it. Half an hour for a beer watching the slowest bartender ever seen. The poor server was trying his best but who could blame him if he tells this mismanaged establishment to take a hike. We sure will. Too bad we have to give them one star. Beware.
