Purchased 4 Guinness’s for my friends and I after a long shift. Only recieved 3 beers. Let the bartender know that we weren’t served all the beers. She was then hostile and called security and kicked me out ruining our night.

Bartender tried to give me beer in a dirty, used glass. When confronted she denied it and then refused to serve me when asked for a clean glass.

Sat 5-7-2025, I invited 5 persons to Heart & Crown - Preston Street for dinner. The food was terrible as well as the noise . Each of us ordered a diffterent meal. My meal was disgusting so as I was unable to eat more than 15% of it. I looked at the others' meals and I found the plates are still half full. I felt ashamed.The bill showed $293. This place is not for eating. It is only a trivial bar for drunken persons with an horribly loud music.

We ordered the fish and chips and the food was decent. Tartar sauce and slaw was subpar but the fish and fries were decent but considering it was five dollars more than most other local establishments, I’m not sure it was good value for the price. Part way through the meal there was a kitchen fire and we had to evacuate. We stood outside for about 25 minutes which meant warm drinks and cold food. Sadly we were charged full price for a meal we did not get to finish. I won’t be returning.

Our server was amazing! Friendly and helpful. Great experience for my first time dining at this location.

It was our first time in Ottawa and Heart & Crown restaurant. The food was really good! Taylor (if I remember correctly) served us. She also guided us for the spots to visit around.

It’s a good Irish pub with great atmosphere and friendly service. The space is charming and often features live music, making it a fun spot to hang out. However, the portion sizes are on the small side, especially for the price. Also, for a pub, the beer selection is surprisingly limited — you'd expect a wider variety. Still worth a visit for the vibe, but don't go too hungry or expecting a big tap list.

I had the pleasure of being served by Emily J while having dinner with my girlfriends. She was super attentive, made great drink suggestions to us each, and overall made sure everything was to our liking and came out quick. I’ll be sure to come back for a lunch on their patio this summer!

i went to this heart and crown location with my sister and dad for the first time, and WOW! it was amazing. the food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly, and just as a pub should be, the atmosphere was cozy and social. i would highly recommend their cowboy burger - it’s super juicy and savoury with a refreshing sweetness from the bacon jam.
