Hogs Back Restaurant is truly one of Ottawa’s best kept secrets. It’s a small, tucked-away spot, but the moment you walk in you feel like you’ve discovered something special. The owners are absolutely amazing—genuinely warm, kind, and welcoming people who clearly care about their food and their customers.
I tried their pizza for the first time on Wednesday and it was so good that I went back the very next day for another one. Fresh, flavourful, perfectly cooked—easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had in the city.
And I can’t forget the famous homemade garlic dip. Seriously… unreal. Worth the visit on its own.
If you haven’t checked out Hogs Back Restaurant yet, do yourself a favour and go. A true hidden gem!

I have been a big fan for years. But they just outdid themselves… They have a new hot pepperoni pizza with pepperoni, jalapeño, and hot honey. That is the best thing I have ever ordered from anywhere. It is a must.
Ordered the vegetarian pizza, chicken wings with honey garlic sauce, and deep fried shrimp. The owners/staff were absolutely amazing people and took care to provide incredible service to every customer. I didn’t even get any pictures because of how much we were enjoying the food 😅 The pizza was absolutely the star of the show, a must try! We will be returning <3

This is some of the best authentic-style pizza I've had in a long time. Ordered a cheese Pizza and Cheesy garlic bread for my coworker and me. We couldn't stop talking about how good it was when eating. Most kind and precious people are working as well. You can tell there's a lot of love built throughout the atmosphere over the years. 10/10 would recommend!

Such a little hidden gem. The food is good and there is something on the menu for everyone. We tried their Donair Sub And meatball sub which were both fantastic. Based on the marinara sauce and the meatball sub, I bet their spaghetti is really good. The owners are very lovely And the prices are fair.
