This is hands down the best all you can eat sushi in Ottawa. Any time I come I am amazed by the quality and freshness of the food for such a good price. The service is so quick and the staff are all great. Highly recommend if you love sushi!

Awesome food ….. large menu selection … as a vegan, I was extremely satisfied with the experience and menu selections our hostess gave me….. everyone at our table loved all the fresh food and selection…. Quiet place but perfectly located in the Byward Market area…. Highly recommend

We went for the buffet and it exceeded our expectations in term of prices , variety n quality when compared to the Japanese buffets in Singapore n Hong kong . In fact it is one of the best dinners we had in Canada . Staff are efficient m friendly too ?

My boyfriend and I were originally going to visit a different sushi restaurant for our anniversary, but due to unforeseen circumstances that location was closed for the night. We were looking for a dinner on the late side (around 8pm) which can be hard to come by on a Sunday night in Ottawa, but Hokkaido Sushi is open later in the evening compared to many of the other restaurants in the area. We were at the restaurant until around closing time, but we never felt rushed by the staff. In general, staff was nice and courteous. We opted for the all-you-can-eat, which has pretty standard pricing for restaurants of its type. I have an allergy to Sulfites (additive sodium sulfite and sulfur dioxide) and the staff was happy to check the food for me. I understand that despite being a priority allergen in Canada this is an unusual allergy and can therefore sometimes be difficult to accommodate, so I'm always grateful when someone is diligent with their handling of my allergy. However, I'm not entirely certain that the waitress initially understood what Sulfites are (she warned me about crab and shrimp until I said something about preservatives). If I were to give feedback to the restaurant regarding their handling of this, I would say a) an internet search is a great starting point for researching allergens, and b) to ask questions and be certain, because it could be very serious for a customer if you make a guess that turns out to be wrong. That said, everything was fine for me, but if an incorrect guess had been made on my behalf, things could have turned out very badly for me. Now, the food itself. The variety was excellent in terms of the number and kinds of sushi offered. That said, if you or a member of your party isn't a fan of seafood, use common sense and don't go to a sushi restaurant. I could tell that the food was freshly made and sent out right away. The tempura was hot and crispy, and I really enjoyed it. There were a couple of cuts of fish in our sushi rolls that were still a little frozen, so if there's one thing that could have been improved about the food experience I'd say it was that. In general the fish was fresh and good quality. I also enjoyed the Tamago rolls. Overall, the sushi was solid. And of course, the cat robot is a cute touch that adds to the experience. All said, I'd definitely consider going back.

I missed eating sushi so we decided to visit this Ayk place. The noodles arrived first they were really fresh and delicious we loved them there was mistake in our order so we waited for too long for sushis to arrive (almost 45 minutes). The waitress was really gentle and nice when we asked her about the sushis she solved our problemwe had an issue with the manager, I found her attitude very rude but thanx to the waitress she solved our problem.

This is my favourite AYK sushi in Ottawa. I find it much fresher than other places. The ambience is pretty standard for an AYK joint with the exception of their fish tank at the front and a cute robot server which tends to some of the tables in the larger room.

Featuring soooo many options, we were surprised by this market restaurant. A great selection of sushi, rolls, tempura & hand rolls, we ate to our delight! The kitty robot was super cute & hygienic. I personally loved the think California rolls, tempura crab & spicy salmon rolls. While the hand rolls were a little crispy, still very thick & flavourful. The all you can eat price may seem high yet pay for quality eh!

Manager does not care about clients at all. Having a kid that does not eat sushi and another one that eats is not their problem. They will charge you no matter what. Once you enter there you have no choice. Their offer was to separate our family in two tables (2 kids? Lol). My daughter wanted to go to celebrate her birthday with a friend (7yo) The manager didn’t even answer our call while screaming with the attendants. said that was too busy. Lost my whole family as clients. Do not waste your time and money there. They won’t care at all about the clients.

Service is terrible. Our order did not come. The service robot brought our food to the wrong table. Very pricey for a very lousy service.

BAD SERVICE - Do not go here!! Ordered a fresh fruit smoothie and they told me it'll be ready in 10 minutes. Asked them for an update after 20 minutes and they hadn't even started preparing my smoothie.Ended up getting the smoothie and it definitely wasn't worth the wait.Do not recommend
