I’m not often in this part of Ottawa but driving by Host India, I was suddenly craving Indian lunch. I arrived at 11:30am. And I always say that when you go to a buffet, it is best to be there when it starts. Very colorful and lovely calm atmosphere with lots of traditional Indian Art. Buffet has a large selection of salads and hot dish dishes. I loved the hot vegetable pakoras with toppings. There are many vegetarian curries and also beef,Rogan Josh ( my favorite lamb curry)....
Host India has been one of our long-time go-to spots for genuine Indian food. Whether we dine in or pick up takeout, the quality is always exceptional. Every dish is vibrant, full of depth, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. They do a great job of honoring classic flavors while adding their own modern twists. Our takeout orders are always prepared precisely the way we ask.
How do you end up with a bill that's over 130$ for 2 meals/order of nann bread and 2 drinks? lol The place seemed a bit unclean and the server not the friendliest. Staff also shouldn't be outside smoking by the door going in. Unpleasant.
