I am assuming the owner is the middle-aged lady who speaks to the different customers. Extremely friendly.... and that's about it. The food is overpriced and bland.
I was visiting from Toronto, and had to pick up a cake for my girlfriend. We walked in during the Christmas parade on Saturday. The only 6 inch cake that looked somewhat appetizing was the black sesame soy. Honestly, when I saw her pulled it from the back of the other cakes, I was a little wary.
The total was $55 dollars. It is steep even compared to Toronto. All the best Asian bakeries in Toronto do not even charge this much for a regular 6'inch cake. The owner needs to reevaluate their pricing and the quality of the food. How can you justify these prices when your ingredients aren’t fresh and with such simple cake designs ?
Yes, the owner is friendly but she lied about the quality of the cake. We were told that black sesame cake was freshly made on that day. However, when I inquired that morning, the associate mentioned on the phone that they made two fresh cakes - a peach and strawberry, not a sesame one. By the time we got home and took a look at the cake, you could tell this cake was probably sitting there for a while. The cream at the top was already yellow. The taste was bland, bland to the point that our asian senior parents would agree.
My friend bought a cake in a cup for $15 dollars. Sadly, the best part about her cake were the strawberries.
Save your money, and go down to Delysses down the street (beside Med Supper Club). The cakes are decadent and also cheaper. The only downside is that they make it in Toronto and then transported up to Ottawa.
Or better yet, just drive to Hunt Club and order it from T&T.

A wonderful little Japanese bakery with some really nice pastries. The Cream Cheese Bun is the big ticket item, but the chocolate version is also amazing and extremely decadent. I would recommend stopping in for a treat any time.

Lovely experience facilitated by Sarah, who graciously took the time to answer my questions about the baked goods. Unbelievably delicious and authentically Japanese baked goods here. Will definitely be back.

These are not excessive prices. I was recommended the small loaf of white bread and the lady sliced it for me. I'm not disappointed. There were white chocolate and dark chocolate chocolatines, I had never seen that before. I will come back to try them! Be careful, they don't take credit cards.

Good bakery but unfortunately there is no price indicated on the items. You don’t know how much the items cost and it feels like you just pay whatever you have to pay without knowing prior to buying. Please indicate your prices!!!

The blueberry danish-ish thing is an excellent choice!
My favourite bakery in Ottawa for fruit cakes! Also their cream cheese buns are superior. Don’t be fooled by how they look because they taste absolutely amazing! The original flavour is my personal favourite.
