I ordered the chicken tikka biryani, and overall, it was underwhelming. The dish lacked the aromatic flavors I typically associate with biryani, and the portion size felt a bit small. Traditionally, biryani is served with raita, so it was disappointing that it wasn’t included. Additionally, the chicken was on the dry side.
If you’re craving Indian food, I’d skip this place and try another Indian restaurant.

Good Naan bread. Go here buy the Naan Bread #1 Naan bread of all time. Tourists go here I think he handmakes the Naan bread it's pretty good. Skip beavertails. Buy naanbread. Next time I'll try butter chicken with Naan bread. Very good.

We had a very disappointing experience at India Cafe in Ottawa. We ordered the mutton biryani, and it was extremely underwhelming — bland, oily, and completely lacking in authentic flavor. Shockingly, they didn’t even serve raita with it, which is a basic part of the dish.
When we politely asked the staff about it, their response was rude and unprofessional. On top of that, the ambiance was poor — the place didn’t feel clean or welcoming. To make matters worse, the food was overpriced for the quality and service we received.
Definitely not worth the money. Would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good Indian food or a pleasant dining experience.

I visited this café with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. The chicken biryani was disappointing: the portion of chicken was minimal, and the flavor was more like a mildly spiced pulao than an authentic biryani. It lacked the richness, aroma, and depth of flavor we associate with good biryani. Chicken tikka was another sore disappointment, sliced chicken.you could see more white meat than the masala itself.
I understand this is a small business, and I truly want to support local establishments. However, when you’re paying restaurant prices, you also expect a certain level of quality and satisfaction.Potential is there but at the moment does not meet expectations and not worth the price asked.

Best onion bhaji I've ever had! Love this little gem of a place.
Flavour was good however an abundance of rice for little beef curry and the gentleman microwaved it in the back. Not worth almost $20.
