This elegant cafe is nestled in the heart of Ottawa’s downtown, inside the Ottawa Art Gallery. There is an underground public parking lot across the street leads to the hotel lobby.

Hidden coffee shop located inside a free Ottawa museum. A nice welcome stop after visiting the museum.

Note: You order at the bar and the server brings it to you at your table. I recommend making the customer wait at the bar until the order is ready - simply put, when its busy the staff sometimes takes longer to bring the order at the table.

Love the atmosphere, surrounded by art. Good coffee, need more baristas (wait can be slightly long)

The smoked salmon mousse, the beet salad were delicious. The cocktails were ok. Service was slow. Had to get up to ask for cutlery, order food. It was a bit deceiving.

We ordered a latte and sat at a table. 10 mins later, the coffee still hadn't arrive. We went back to ask. The barista was chatting with her coworker. She said she's going to make the coffee. They continued on chatting amongst themselves. 2 mintues later, I went back to see her a 2nd time. She said, I'm gonna start making it now. Then she made our coffee.

There were no other customers in line. The barista just placed chatting with her coworker higher in priority than customer service.

This was Saturday, April 12th, at 12:30pm.

We enjoyed a leisurely latte at the Art Gallery’s Jackson Café and Bar, which offers a lovely selection of coffee, breakfast, and lunch options. The deli sandwiches looked like art themselves. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, with plenty of natural light and soft music playing in the background. I especially loved how they incorporated touches of nature into the space—it created such a calming setting. My granddaughter and I shared a large, buttery, and flaky croissant that was even warmed for us. She had a Chai Latte, which she said was excellent. What a wonderful way to start our gallery tour!

Came here after exploring the gallery. Beautiful atmosphere and the coffee is delicious. Got my oat milk latte and it was smooth and flavourful. Not acidic or bitter. Price was fair too and very similar to other coffee shops. I thought the coffee had a very distinct flavour profile which my husband and I enjoyed.

We didn't get any food, but their croissants looked delicious.

Had a date here, and it turned out way better than I expected. For the price, the food was great, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was spot on. The best part, the food was surprisingly affordable for how good it was. Definitely a solid 8.5/10 and will highly recommend.

I have been to Jackson at Night for dinner a few times and it is always so delicious!! The menu constantly changes, which means there is always something new and fun to try. It’s a great place to go with friends, so you can order lots of dishes and share. Everything is so reasonably priced and the staff are always so friendly. I highly recommend! My go-to spot!

Just finished touring the OAG. Stopped by and got a mocha. Super interesting take on it. Suffice to say, it wasn’t just pretty, it was also quite tasty.

The staff and atmosphere is wonderful how the breakfast sandwich was not great. The red sauce is overpowering and the whole thing lacked flavour. However, the coffee and chocolatine were excellent!

Welcoming and friendly staff. Flat white was very good (I'm very picky with them). Croissants and breakfast sandwiches were very good. Great vibe. Well done.
