We went there on recommendation. It is small restaurant. It is clearly a family place. The food is very spicy but you can ask to tone it done. I love general tso’s chicken but it was spicy. The service is friendly and prompt. The decor was functional and clean. We have been twice. I would go again.

Hot and Sour soup was a meal in a little bowl. Egg rolls are incredibly fillin and full of goodness. Dim Sum was similarly filling. Probably should have stopped there but the Tender Chicken with veggies was per it's name tender and fresh. All in all a great meal in a newer cozy family restaurant. Great value.updated 2025

What happened??! Up until 2 weeks ago the food was amazing. We ordered take-out from Jade Yi's often. Tonight we had inedible chicken balls and the fried rice was not up to their normal standards. We spent almost $100 for 3 people. Now we will think about our other options for Chinese food the next time we order. Such a shame we have been loyal customers for since we lived in Beaverbrook. Maybe a refund of a credit for another meal to pro that want our business is in order because tonight's meal was horrible.

What happened? This used to be our favorite take away. Ordered $185 worth of food last night, very bland, everything but the seafood dishes tasted the same. Too many cheap vegetables added to the dishes for fillers. Plum sauce, although tasty is runny like water. Open end egg rolls are so salty. Unfortunately, that was probably our last visit, money is too dear to waste on on ho hum food.

I ordered some takeout and they messed up an order which I only found out when I arrived home. Fortunately this does not happen often but it is very annoying when it does happen. The food is quite mixed with some dishes really good and others very bland.

Had lunch at this local Kanata family restaurant today and food and service was great. I had better food elsewhere before but the service provided by the co-owner Jessica was amazing, she was able to get the chef to customized our food. Price is reasonable and there's many chinese options like Har Gow dumplings which is hard to find in Kanata. At the end, they offered us free mango pudding as desert which is great. Would definitely come back.

Ordered the chicken fried rice, green curry and Cantonese style chow mein. Was disappointed in lack of flavour of all dishes and all vegetables were over cooked. Chow mein noodles were over cooked and the sauce was thick like jello. :(

Busy place but understaffed. This is the 2nd time in a month that service is lacking, takeaway not ready at the time they provided. Ordered the lemon chicken which were essentially sweet & sour chicken balls with slightly more chicken & less batter. Where is the wonton soup & Honey Garlic Spare ribs that I ordered in the past? Not impressed & will not be returning.
