An early afternoon search in the neighborhood for a small lunch resulted in a quick, incredibly tasty and very filling lunch in the form of a jerk chicken plate at Jerkies Chicken. The chicken was super tender, falling of the bone, with the jerk seasoning warming your heart and soul. Plaintains with their sauce and serving of rice complemented the chicken in a beautiful way. Very generous portion for a small plate leaving me to have some for dinner. All served in a non-assuming, takeout-oriented, friendly and welcoming place with sunshine warming you up as I chose to enjoy it on the spot at their window facing high chairs. Highly recommend.

Jerkies is pretty good ngl . I usually get the jerk chicken. Obv there’s a few mishaps here and there but this is a whole meal and it tastes good. would recommend 👍🏾

We were very surprised at how good the Jerk chicken was despite them not having a wood fired grill. Everything, the dirty rice, plantain and especially the Jerk Chicken was excellent! We’ll be back….

I used to order jerkies once a week, it was my safe food order that always made me feel good. They dropped off for a little while but seem to be moving back towards their former glory. I’m quite hopeful that the food I received on Sunday will continue.
