Excellent food in a cozy atmosphere. Mushroom appetizer and blackened chicken especially good. Espressos at the end were only lukewarm warm and no sugar or spoons served. Overall really nice dining experience.

Lunch here was very mediocre. Our server was awkward, inattentive, and hard to access when we needed her. We had a dirty side plate with food stuck on it, waited 20 + minutes for drinks, and the food was mediocre at best. Specifics: - 4 tables seated after us were tended to before we were - dirty side plates with food stuck to it put on our table - food took very long to start coming out - tuna and avocado “crunch” roll was not crunchy, was floppy and loose, misshaped and underwhelming, and the dipping sauce for it totally off tasting salty nothingness - poke bowls were good and fresh - had to ask another server to get our server for the bill as she didn't so much as check in after dropping it off - the starting point for tip on the machine was 18% in this case which was overly generous given quality of service.

My wife's main course came out 10 minutes prior to my meal Then my Starter and the main course came at the same time ! And when this was pointed out to the server she clearly had no idea that this should not have happened. My meal included for a glass of wine ! When ordering the server advised me it would be an 8 ounce glass of wine ! However when another server brought the wine it was only a 5 ounce glass ! When our original server returned I explained what had happened she admitted she thought it should of been an 8 once ... it took another 5 mins to resolve this issue ... with my having to pay the difference ! We have visited this location many times, however This visit was simple a very poor experiance ... and we will not rush back
We were a group of 12; we got all our food and we had not gotten asked if we needed anything in quite some time. We all wanted water and more drinks. When we finally got more drinks; they were poorly made and were just not good, the restaurant was not busy at this point so we were a little dumbfounded that the drinks were sloppily made. As the night progressed when we asked for our bills the power went out, we ended up waiting 45 minutes for our bill and were not even offered some sort of discount or complimentary shot/drink, it was ridiculous that we waited that long.

I was there to celebrate proposing to my girlfriend that evening. I had made a reservation a month in advance, and had left information through OpenTable booking to let them know it was a special evening and they promised they would help make our night really special. The experience was fine, the food was good, the service was alright, but absolutely none of it felt like a special celebration for our big moment. Usually when we celebrate anniversaries at smaller restaurants, they will gift us a glass of wine, or a dessert, or even just congratulate us during dinner service. At Joey Lansdowne, we got none of that, and it didn't ruin the night, but I admit I was a little disappointed by that.
