Extremely disappointing experience. The food was delayed, and the Uber Eats driver was waiting over 15 minutes to collect the order. When I called and asked about the delay and the time discrepancy, the staff were rude and dismissive. My concern was that my kid was waiting and starving, and food is getting delayed. He went one step ahead and made an offensive comment generalizing that Telugu customers always ask for refunds and thinking I am trying to do so. That’s completely unacceptable. My concern was that my kid was waiting and starving, not about refunds. Very unprofessional behavior and a total lack of respect for customers.

You can’t sell basmati rice with chicken curry as mandi, it’s pretty decisive

First time going here since it seemed like it might a good place for deccan foods. We arrived to an empty restaurant so seating was not an issue. There was an odd unpleasant smell in the store and that was off-putting but manageable. The menu is expansive and mostly consists of south indian items with some north indian items.
We ordered some momos (Nepali dumplings), ragda aloo tikki (potato & chickpeas patty w flavourful spices) and some drinks. The momos were cold on the edges which implied that when cooked from frozen, they did not get cooked properly. This was off-putting. The ragda flavours were bland and unassuming.
For a place that scores almost 4.5 online, i expected much better food from this place than what i experienced. Which may be an indication that the Google review score online may not be representative of reality.
I advise all future diners to take precautions while dining at this establishment.

Extremely disappointed with the fried rice I ordered. We have tried other dishes here and they were pretty good. But the fried rice was super dry. Looks like it's old and chewy
I have tried Kachiguda Junction multiple times, both for dine-in and online orders.
I have tasted their mirchi bajji, veg & non-veg biryanis, mandi, and rotis — most of the time, the taste has been good.
This time, I ordered mirchi bajji and chicken mandi. The mirchi bajji was excellent, but the chicken mandi was just average, which was a bit disappointing.
I really hope they maintain their quality and taste consistently going forward and take this feedback seriously.

Restaurantji Recommends
Great place, we went there yesterday for dinner and was quite pleased by their service. We had Masala Dosa, plain naan and methi matar malai. The food was up to mark. Methi Matar Malai was extremely mild spicy. Great for kids or if you don't like spicy food. Overall great experience.

Just had their south indian brunch buffet and it is AMAZING! Both the food and ambience are beyond expectations. Reminded me of having a south indian breakfast in India. Keep it up guys for this great service to the Indian population in Ottawa.

I recently visited this restaurant and tried a few dishes, Masala Dosa, Kadai Paneer, and Chilly Garlic Naan.
The dosa itself was crisp and had that perfect golden-brown color—just how I like it. However, the potato masala filling fell a bit short. It lacked the robust flavor I usually expect in a masala, making it taste somewhat bland. If they could add a bit more spice or seasoning, it would make a huge difference.
Kadai Paneer was a winner! The paneer was fresh and soft, and the spices were well-balanced, delivering the right kick without overpowering the flavors. Chilly garlic naan had the right balance of garlic and chilly flakes, and the naan was soft yet had just enough chewiness. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who loves a bit of zest in their bread.

I ordered a mutton appetiser and Roti. Specifically asked for them to come together…reminded twice.
Mutton is served without Roti. So I sat there for 20 minutes while the mutton got cold.
Then I simply paid for the mutton (which I left on the table untouched) and left.
They couldn’t care less.
I will never return.
