We have been going to Kara Mia's for over a decade, first in the GTA and now in Ottawa. We recently hosted a 45+ person family event there, and it was executed wonderfully by the staff at this location. I would highly recommend it. HMA halal certified with tasty sauces!

For an Italian fusion, it’s not bad! From the appetizers we tried garlic bread, shrimp, and the poutine. The poutine was good overall thanks to the saffron sauce the rest of the appetizers were subpar. In terms of the main dish I had the pasta de carne, the meat was chewy pasta was ok and again the saffron sauce was tasty. The restaurant really nails its sauces. Next time I would try the chicken and stay away from the beef

My second time here and Kara Mia does not disappoint!! Their pastas are great, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of their options. HIGHLY recommend the saffron poutine, it’s very unique, like no poutine i’ve ever had before and delicious. Staff is also all very friendly. Will definitely be returning as it’s one of the best halal dine in restaurants in Ottawa.

I brought my team here for an end of year lunch, and we had an amazing time. The staff was excellent, attentive, and friendly. The food was phenomenal! Everything came out hot, cooked correctly, and was well presented. The saffron sauce was delicious!
We truly had a great time, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. Thank you again for your hospitality, and a wonderful afternoon.

Although I love salt in my soup, The lentil Soup was overly salty. The lady taking my payment was quite upset that I wanted all my change back on our take out order, I felt forced to tip her. We drove from far after reading the reviews. Never again. 3.5/10

We went to this restaurant for dinner around 9 p.m. The place is nice and the food was good, but unfortunately the experience was marred by a few negative points. First of all, the waitress was really rude: it felt like she was being forced to work, very cold, and she sighed with every response, which made our service unpleasant. Additionally, there was excessive noise, a child screaming, and instead of his parents intervening, they laughed, which encouraged the child to scream even louder. No one reacted to calm the situation. It’s a shame, because with better service and more respectful management of the sound environment, our dinner could have been much more pleasant.

Service was very, very slow. We almost got up and left several times. It was not busy, in the slightest. But we didn't get to order for a good 20 minutes. The "salad" was the end of the lettuce, no green. My Mother and friend couldn't eat it. My friend was going to order a dish and the waitress said it wasn't available. We heard her talking to another waiter getting clarification on that dish. Turns out it WAS available and she never came back to say she made a mistake, just left the order as is. Mistakes happen, but own them. The garlic bread was buns not "Italian Vienna bread". Terrible and not worth the money. Also, "Cocktails" is misleading. That should be "Mocktails." Accuracy is important.
