Khao Thai Restaurant in the heart of Byward Market offers amazing food, with the exception of moderate soup. This Thai gem is a bit pricey, but everything is fantastic, from the delicious food to the lovely atmosphere and friendly service. Known for authentic Thai cuisine, they serve hard-to-find Khao Soi, Pad Thai, and vegetarian and vegan options, including coconut milk curries. The sweet server Mook is a delight, even teaching how to enjoy coconut with their signature curry dish. The presentation of the food is great, and the atmosphere set by all the decoration is commendable. Despite the small space, the food and service are top-notch, making it a must-visit spot in Ottawa.
