I have been to the restaurant many times I live in Halifax and visit my mum 3 times a year. There are many wonderful places in Ottawa to eat. My favorite is Kristys. It like comfort food for the soul. I really miss most getting there this year

Kristy's is a large enough space that you never wait for a table. The staff are professionals, and don't rush you out once you're finished your food. The food itself is good, and the bottomless coffee in your own carafe helps, too.

Went for brunch with a group — lots of space and classic diner fare. The server was very attentive and made sure our coffee cups were never dry ☕️ I ordered the German style sausage with eggs and they were exactly what they should have been for the atmosphere and diner vibes. Affordable too! Will definitely be returning!

Staff had no record of a Reservation for a round table In my name.... I was disappointed. However, my group was eventually seated at the round table near the entrance. Service was excellent and the food was alright. A few people had the hot turkey sandwich and said the turkey did not taste fresh.

A casual place ‘where everybody knows your name’. Located in an area with many seniors, it appears a favourite for the elderly. Ordered fish and chips. Really enjoyed the fish (soft as butter) and the outstanding fries. The bike parking is invisible unfortunately. If you are visiting Ottawa, you want to visit this restaurant for a local experience rather than some of the touristy places downtown (free Pepsi top up).

We had a nice, simple lunch at Kristy's. You can tell this restaurant is a valuable part of the community. The service is great and so is the food. Good homestyle cooking at reasonable prices.We had the quiche and salad for lunch. Everything was fine.We will return again to enjoy Kristy's!
