Not the same as the downtown store. They skimp on ingredients and overcharge for everything.
Last time, I had a very long wait for a sandwich, literally served on a dirty table. A repair guy was fixing something and they were still making sandwiches in the area.
Also, they are almost never open, so not a good fit with the neighborhood.

Love this place! Today was my 4th time to this cafe and I absolutely loved their Cold Latte and Americano. The girl (with the tattoo) made the most tastiest chicken sandwich.
This will be my new goto place for Latte / Americano !

Excellent place to have a very tasty and substantial sandwich, this place is a bit of a hidden gem that more people should check out. Getting some spicy bomba on the muffuletta sandwich takes it to the next level, one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in Ottawa.

I really enjoyed my first ever cannoli! It was crispy and not too sweet, went well with the Americano. It was not super busy, and there were still seats available when I went on a Saturday. Given there's a Starbucks, bridgehead and the Ikea food court nearby I do think the pastry and sandwich options here help it stand as a unique option in this "plaza". Especially if you want something less chain.

I stumbled across here whilst walking round Byward market Ottawa! There only one way to explain this place its like a culinary aladins cave! It's a store, butchers, charcuterie, bakers, restaurant all under one roof!! I had it try the restaurant whilst busy and small it as character and apart from that the food was absolutely tip top! The best past I have had outside of Italy!! The spaghetti with black pepper and pecorino cheese was simply delightful accompanied with homemade foccacia and a glass of red this was the perfect combination for a cold Saturday afternoon, so whether you are looking for beans, rice, canoli, bread, proscutio or a fantastic meal this is the place for you!! Will I return? Absolutely!! Would I recommend? Yes yes yes

The Bottega is MUST! This place is so special. Great atmosphere, excellent authentic Italian food, truly a feel good place! Had a private party for my wife's birthday and had an unforgettable evening. The service was excellent and Isabelle's food was succulent! Ottawa is fortunate to have this small hidden gem in its downtown core! !
What a find! Been twice recently to meet friends for coffee or lunch. Excellent cappuccino and the paninis are ginormous. One is enough for two people. Friendly service and never a problem with finding parking.

My high expectations were exceeded at lunch today. The best focaccia (no, the best bread!) I've ever had, and outrageously good Cacio et Pepe. My husband and kids loved their risotto, pizza and spaghetti. We might be back tomorrow!

We wandered into the delightful market and met Rocco who showed us the back where there is seating for about 14 people. The smells were so inviting that we decided to come back the next day. Four of us ordered different meals. Each was delicious and rivaled the food that we had in Tuscany. We only regretted that we could only have one meal there. It was indeed memorable and exceptional.

This little Restaurant that is in the back of an Italian Market, Rivals any and all Italian Meals we have eaten… The chef is an adorable woman named Isabelle, who when she describes the menu to you, is as enthusiastic as she is a talented Chef. The owner Rocco could not be more charming!!!! This is a must when you visit Ottawa.
