La Maison du Kouign-Amann

We ordered one of the specialty valentines cakes for my daughter’s birthday. They were so accommodating. She absolutely loved the pink cake and it tastes amazing from the delicious icing to the light cake. We will definitely be return customers!

I have never had better croissants in my life. They ran out of my favourite bread so I recommend going early in the day. The smell alone is worth it. Amazing French bakery.

One of my favourite bakeries in terms of taste in Ottawa - I have yet to find anywhere better. The tarts are crazy good, and this is my go-to place when I am craving a little bit of dessert. The pistachio tart and the almond croissant are the best.

Ordered a strawberry shortcake for a birthday. Asked one employee what size would be good for a party of 10-11 and she said 9 in and said that the birthday message would NEED to be written on a chocolate block for an extra charge.

2 days later, I don’t get the chocolate block with the message and the message is written on the cake. Refunded the price of the chocolate block but don’t tell me that you need to charge me extra then don’t give me the thing you told me was necessary.

Wow. One of the few places in Ottawa that knows how to make proper lemon curd and their raspberry ganache tart was amazing. Highly recommended, worth the drive.

A feel of Paris right here in Kanata. Delicious pasteries, crepes and cakes. Small eating place. Good for adults or working people for a quick lunch. My son and I had a lunch date. It was a perfect time to chat and enjoy crepe meal and take out pastries. Yums

Vegetarian options: Breakfast egg ham crepes with sides salad and Blueberry

Parking: A feel of Paris right here in Ottawa. Best cakes and pastries. Small eating place. Good for a date lunch for adults or like I had a date lunch with my son and off to work.

I love their cake!

Great food but the experience in the store is uncomfortable. It seems different item types have to be ordered at different registers, no signage to help. People standing around awkwardly not knowing where to go. I'm not going back here because the in-store experience is confusing and frustrating.

I've been saying this for years now: the Kouign-Amanns are my favorite dessert!! 😍 Picture gooey caramel, flaky buttery 🧈 layers, and sugared crust. Oh my gosh!! So good!
