So delicious! I believe I had the veal cutlet and the sauce was amazing! Every dessert was extraordinary and the alcoholic hot chocolate was out of this world! The terrace was so nixe. I did however find the focaccia underwhelming.

Chef Ian made one amazing meal! Perfectly made zucchini flower bites to start followed by proper-seasoned olives, risotto balls and a few slices of fresh bread. Was very impressed with the ravioli and gnocchi while having a great family outing. Service was regular and always friendly. Look forward to the next time!

We had the pleasure of hosting our son’s wedding at La Roma last week. This was a success beyond our expectations. The location on the second floor was perfect to receive 36 of our closest friends and family. We had access to a bar upstairs and also a balcony to enjoy the beautiful summer night. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone and everything was perfect. The food was amazing and everyone enjoyed the different dishes that the restaurant prepared for us. If you are looking for a quaint, professional and personal venue La Roma is the place for you.

La Roma used to be a go to spot for us and our family , unfortunately that’s not so much the case anymore.
The menu is very limited, prices are high and portions are small.
We stoped in for diner tonight (2 adults and 1 child) and started off by ordering a few drinks. My beer arrived and it was completely flat. It took 15 - 20 mins to flag down our server since she didn’t come out to check on her patio section very often…..our appetizer was then forgotten about. I had to ask another service to check on our meal since we couldn’t find our server. Our son ordered a kids portion spaghetti and my wife and I had 2 pasta dishes. The bread served was very dry.
When we received our bill, I was stunned to see that a child’s spaghetti was $20 and that our bill was $170 (without tip).

This place has gone downhill. Use to love going a couple times of year. Last visits experience was the worst we’ve had in a long time. From the start the waitress with the red hair was having a bad day. Felt rushed and very inattentive, no smile, no personality . Now the food. Vegetables tasted frozen, meat and pasta were overcooked, bread was stale. Butter and “fresh Parmesan” tasted off. The patio is also next to a rental unit and the tenants were smoking cigarettes and marijuana all night. This place really needs to get their act together or they won’t last much longer. For the people in Ottawa this restaurant was like going to the Canal Ritz for dinner.
