The menu at La Terrasse is limited, but good for the basics. While guests can order off a menu from an adjoining restaurant, this is not well communicated, and doing so really slows down food delivery.

really nice place with amazing food and service. the view is amazing. be sure to reserve a specific spot on the booking page. hightops see the BEST view of the water or a cute lil house on the side. food was pricey but you get what you pay for and it was 10000% worth it.

We brought friends visiting from the Uk and they loved the experience. Great drinks, food and service topped off with an outstanding location. Thank you

Multiple items on the Terrasse menu aren’t available, which the server mentioned to me after I ordered my drink. When I noted that it’s not the first time this happens, the manager kindly came to my table but I had already paid for my drink and notified them I would be eating elsewhere and posting a review. It’s unfortunate and I sympathized with the young waitress who skillfully managed the reaction of other clients as she repeatedly explained the limited menu to them as well. Please do better. I sincerely want to support the Château Laurier.

Our second visit during our stay in Ottawa. The view is amazing and food very good! My hamburger was excellent my wife's flank steak delicious. Wait staff were amazing and I apologize for not remembering their names, especially our server, a bubbly, articulate young girl, a student at Carlton. Highly recommend!

Amazing view but… I wish the food matched the atmosphere. The pizza was below average, from presentation to taste, something as simple as margarita pizza can be done much tastier and nicer, very deceiving kitchen for this spectacular location, at least dont over price the food it will be below average taste

The views are lovely depending where you sit. The menu is awful (a burger, a lobster roll, steak, pizza, pitiful charcuterie/cheese boards, fries - all expensive for what it is). Perhaps salads are a bit better. Service was inattentive and it took more than 45 minutes to get a drink. Then they started blaring techno music around 830 pm - read the room. The food does not match the Fairmont brand, nor the setting, and service was sub-par.

Excellent food, friendly staff, nice ambiance and views - we were there for lunch. Staff was attentive without being intrusive, very helpful and responsive.

Disappointing- the view didn't make up for the under staffed venue. The food selection was poor and the drinks were limited in what they could offer. The value for money just wasn't. Needless to say was disappointed and went down the street and finished our evening out at joeys on Rideau

•Our server was very attentive •Restaurants is quiet and easy to have a conversation. •menu is very expensive, for what you get. •food is mediocre •I would recommend this place, for drinks and a great view

While staying at the fairmont we were told about fireworks one that were happening so booked a reservation so we could watch them. We went down for our reservation to have some apps and a few drinks.
Our table was nice with a decent view of the fireworks.
We ordered the beer flight.
A pint of beer ( local so im not sure what i had).
A sangria and
A glass of wine.
Food we had pizza and garlic fries. There was 5 of us.
Now
The beer flight is expensive you get 5 different beer. It is 25 dollars for 5 glasses that are 5 ounces. ( 25 oz is $25) and they all tasted flat. So disappointing.
The local pint of beer i had also tasted flat. I gave up no more beer.
The sangria was good and the wine was good.
The pizza was soggy when you picked up a piece everything slide off so you were just left with the crust. The fries were ok nothing spectacular.
We had 2 different times 2 different servers try to bring us someone else's order. They asked if who had this. We told them no one as we were already eating ours. Then 5 mins later someone else tried to bring us someone else's dinner.

Disappointed. Completely overpriced. You’re paying for the view, honestly, which is nice. However, the service was slow and the food was average for the premium price you’re paying. Most apps are above the 25$ mark which is insane. Also, a veggie watermelon Buddha bowl for 38$?! A lobster roll for almost 50$?! A 34$ burger with barely any fries?! Don’t break the bank. You’ll get a better burger at King Eddy’s for half the price and then walk up to Kimeki point or major hill for a better view.

Great hotel, low quality food and furniture that I would not typically associate with a Fairmont property. OpenTable said I was booking for the live music experience, but there was no live music. We only booked because of this so it was very disappointing

Atmosphere was awesome with polite and welcoming staffs. Menu was limitted despite it offered new tastes but was not my favorite. In general, it is a pretty nice place with a spectacular outdoor design to spend your time with friends and family.

I was graciously invited to eat dinner here, but I would not go back or recommend this restaurant. The staff are not welcoming and the food is subpar for what it costs. The view is worth it
