I’ve been coming to Le Casablanca for years and it’s always a fantastic experience. The owner is extremely kind and welcoming, and the service has been consistently great every time I visit. The food is excellent, fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Portions are generous and everything tastes just as good as the last time. Chicken melts in your mouth. Easily one of my favorite spots in ByWard Market. Highly recommended!

He charged me because I had asked him for an empty plate for my daughter, not recommended. I had went to another restaurants in Ottawa and we were asked if we needed a shared plate and nobody charged us for that and if you like I would add the name of these restaurants. I recently went to Restaurant Casablanca in Ottawa and I really loved it! The beef bastilla was amazing , so tasty and perfectly cooked. Everything felt fresh, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Honestly, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great Moroccan food!

Le Casablanca serves up a true feast on a plate. Even though they were super busy, the staff took good care of us, keeping things moving and making sure we had what we needed. The food itself was hearty and comforting, more home-style than refined, but that’s part of its charm, especially for a spot tucked into a market rather than a full sit-down restaurant. The lamb and chicken stood out as the best, juicy and tender, with sauces that brought everything together in a satisfying way. The kafta balls and merguez sausages added a nice variety, though overall the flavours weren’t as layered or bold as we’ve tried at other Moroccan spots. Still, the big portions, the mix of rice and couscous, and that homey style made it a meal that hit the spot perfectly before we headed back out to explore the city.
