It was a celebration, so we ordered the seafood tower for two: a dozen varieties of top-quality, mostly raw sea creatures, all superbly prepared. Service was excellent, although a very noisy cocktail shaker close by repeatedly shattered the ambience. Dessert was a coconut cream meringue filled with berries, an excellent finale to the meal.
We had been for brunch, so were excited to try dinner, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. The service was excellent, as was the atmosphere, but the food was not up to our expectations. We started with the oysters, which were amazing. The brioche bun with the smoked salmon and creme fraiche was extremely dense and bread heavy - definitely not brioche texture, and way too much bread. Our server kindly took that off our bill. My husband ordered the lobster risotto - unfortunately...
Visited for the first time, and overall it was a very nice experience. I loved the pavlova desert the most. We ordered the sea bass (or sea bream), and it was lovely, although it can get a bit overcooked the longer it stays on the veggies underneath it. The starter that we took (brioche with some fish pate) was not to our liking, and I could taste the raw dough. The atmosphere was very welcoming, the server made me laugh on my Birthday :)
