A real gem in Ottawa. Off the beaten path, but always appreciated. The place, the service, the food, all excellent. I wouldn't say the atmosphere is exciting, but it usually means a nice and quiet meal. A nice location for a business lunch or supper, or romantic gateway. Plenty of parking (including across the street). Rather expensive, but so is everything else nowadays. Highly recommended.

I have been here many times for dinner, and it's always fantastic. The food is fresh, elevated and the flavour never disappoints. I recently hosted my wedding here and once again, the food was fantastic. My guests could not stop raving about the appetizers and the short rib main was a big hit! Our custom drinks were also delicious and a wonderful personal touch with the help of their bartender. Shannon was fantastic to work with and I would highly recommend this space for a private event! Thank you everyone at Le St Laurent for making our day so special (and delicious!).

MAKE SURE TO GET A WINDOW SEAT FOR THE SUNSET VIEW—it's totally worth it! The view alone made the experience feel like a special treat.
We ordered a variety of small plates along with some of the most popular mains, and everything was cooked to perfection. What really stood out, though, was the attention to detail in the sides. The green beans in the steak, the croquette cubes in the salad, and the pickled apple on top of the scallops—all added incredible flavor and complemented the dishes beautifully. Truly a memorable dining experience!

My husband and I have been to this restaurant many times, and we always have a very positive experience. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the atmosphere is perfect: low lighting and soft music. We went last night to celebrate his birthday (a bit delayed), and had a delicious meal: fried octopus and duck confit for him, duck liver/foie gras and braised beef short rib for me. Everything was perfect. And it was topped off by a wonderful dessert consisting of a double chocolate brownie with toasted marshmallow, ice cream, and chocolate sauce.

GET THE WINDOW SEATS FOR THE SUNSET VIEW!
The view along was worth the $.
We got all small plates and some of the most popular mains. Everything is cooked perfectly. They did not overlook the supporting roles - the green beans in the steak, the croquet cubes in the salad, the pickled apple on top of the scallops… were all very tasty.

The views are incredible, especially now as the leaves are changing colours. The service excellent. The food good quality.
A hidden gem. I discovered this place looking for a good French cuisine in the east side of Ottawa. The food was excellent and the view at sunset was amazing.

I can’t believe this place has been hiding in our neighbourhood all this time! Stumbled across it by chance and tried it out for the first time this week. It was a 10/10! The atmosphere is chic, the view from penthouse is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service is genuinely excellent.
The menu is French cuisine—beautifully prepared with attention to detail. The portions were big and left us feeling very satisfied. We ordered the frisee salad with scallops to start. They offer complimentary bread and salted butter. Then we had the smoked trout, and my husband had the steak frites. Everything was perfectly cooked and paired well with the accompaniments. We had a glass of Pinot noir and finished the evening with their strawberry Posset dessert.
A true hidden gem- it deserves all the hype and recognition.

We never leave hungry, we always leave satisfied with the service from all the staff, and the delicious meals. We regularly celebrate birthdays, and other events by sharing a meal with loved ones at Le St Laurent. Chef and his back of house staff work very hard at preparing the most beautiful plates, perfectly seasoned meals, and mouth-watering desserts. And then there's the view... Which is, hands down, the best view in the city. We highly recommend it.
