my partner and I went to Light of India for their 11:30am-2:00pm buffet and it was great! The food was amazing for a cheap $22 a person with lots of gluten-free options and the server was super friendly.

so-so place, not much variety. There are better places out there with better quality and quantity. A bit pricey for what it is worth

My favourite place to get Indian food. Their samosas are the best I’ve found, and the chicken korma is delicious. Waiters are all very friendly, and there is never a wait for a table.

Light of India has been a staple for my family for years. The staff are always so welcoming and take the time to get to know their customers. Whether it’s takeout or dining in, the food is consistently delicious — especially comforting on a cold winter night. A true go-to for great Indian cuisine!

Al was just so accommodating, knowledgeable, funny, and engaging. He looked after my food intolerance like a pro. I felt safe eating there. On top of it, the food was beyond delicious. When I crave curry, that’s what I want.

This little Gem in the Glebe area off First avenue is a place you should consider for a nice lunch. Yes Buffet style that pacts a punch. Essential dishes that you would find in a buffet. Less is more. Flavors are out of this world. An array of sides to add more spice to your life. Everyday they add a few different dishes to make it intriguing. Tandoori, Butter, curry chicken dishes are the Bomb. Lots of veggie dishes to choose from and two types of rice. Old faithful Basmati and a Veggie Basmati. Don't forget the sweets after that will put a smile on your face. Can't wait to go back. Cheers

Absolutely phenomenal. Light of India serves hands down the best Indian food I’ve ever had — not just in Ottawa, but anywhere. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavour, perfectly spiced, and made with care. The curry chicken was rich and comforting, the naan fresh and pillowy, and the service was warm and attentive from start to finish.

If I could give 6 stars, I would — and I just did. This place is a gem. Can’t wait to go back!

I love trying Indian cuisine. I personally find the fried rice and other curries little oily. Although, a very friendly staff and a good atmosphere is there.

The food, service, atmosphere were all top notch! We reserved a big table for a birthday and had a fantastic time and left so happy that we’d chosen this fantastic restaurant. The chef took excellent care of us. Highly recommend!
