I drove up and noticed people inside, but the “Open” sign wasn’t on. Instead of assuming, I called to check—just in case they were hosting a private event. The lady who answered the phone was incredibly kind and confirmed they were open. When I explained why I asked, she was very understanding and even asked if I’d be ordering takeout.
I told her I was parked outside, came in, and was greeted by the same lovely woman who had answered the phone. She was welcoming, patient while I looked at the menu, and made the whole experience feel easy and comfortable. I chose to wait in my car, and she actually came outside to knock on my car window to let me know my food was ready—above and beyond customer service.
She truly made my day. To the owners/managers: please never let this girl go—she is a gem and represents your restaurant beautifully.
And the food? By far the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious. From now on, this will be my go-to spot. (Also… if you ever have a deal on the fried bread, please let me know—I’ll definitely be ordering 😂)

We LOVE Little India Cafe! The food is excellent and the service is always awesome. We especially love the lunch buffet which comes with fresh baked garlic naan bread. The buffet is so affordable and every dish is delicious.

Hi, I hesitated in writing this review as I’ve been a loyal customer for well over a decade. Lately it’s been hit and miss and overall disappointing. The butter chicken which was always been delicious, was tough and lacked the usual great flavour. I’ve called to provide feedback in the past and the responses are always leaving me feeling like I’m being blown off. It’s a shame because I always recommended them but won’t moving forward.
For clarity, the restaurant did not offer to replace the dish. The person that answered the phone stated that next time maybe they’ll give a discount. I should have added that a previous order was short whereas dips were provided but no appetizer but I was charged and in most occasions, the order is not ready on time and there is no place to stand to wait.

Used to be our favourite place. Clearly under new ownership. Food was crap. Restaurant was empty. Should have been my warning. Sad to say I will never go back; Ottawa slowly being hollowed out of any place worth eating out at.
I’ve had Indian food a multiple times before, but after trying this place I could honestly eat it every single day. The food is incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and absolutely delicious. I’m obsessed!

Best Indian food I have ever tried. The butter chicken is so rich and creamy and tasty. The garlic naan is fresh and so soft and delicious. The Tandoori chicken is amazing it came warm and fresh. The sauces were great and savoury. I will never forget this meal and it literally changed my life. I really recommend it to anyone who is in Ottawa or wants to try Indian food for the first time👏👏
