Came here with some friends just to stop in before dinner. Aylish was so warm and kind we stayed because of her, as someone from the service industry it’s refreshing to see someone in such a high volume place care so much about her tables. She was helpful, informative and kind. Will be back for her. ☺️

If I survived a trench war then a world war, then a hundred years of drought, the first place I would come to is Local. The vibe is great and the overall experience is perfect for a summer night in Ottawa. We met Bella and were served by Aylish , and both made the experience noteworthy.

If you’re looking for a great soirée with a chill vibe and sports in the background, this place is amazing! I give it 5 stars on a daily basis .

Being our first time here, we asked our waitress, Hannah, for the favorites. The items she suggested were fantastic. LOCAL burger, shrimp dumplings, fish tacos and tuna poke (which we did not choose). We did go back after the Sarah Millican show to have dessert (it was my birthday) and I asked Bella for the best, and she delivered...apple crumble with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! The next time we are in Ottawa, we will be back!

Atmosphere was great, food service was fast and prompt. The food was very good, we had the tacos, roasted beet hummus, and fried chicken. Lily our server was very great, she was quick with our drinks and food items, she engaged in great conversation and even let my girlfriend try on her new sunglasses.

We will be returning for next Sunday football game!

The restaurant has a really nice look and vibe. The service was mostly good, but our order was not properly taken. The food is just okay. We ordered the 10oz steak, and I'm sure that wasn't 10oz. Also, you had to chew a lot, which means the meat quality is not the best. The local burger is good. The drinks are overpriced and have way too much ice in them. If you order a drink that has ice, ask to put the ice in a different glass. You basically pay $13 for ice, which is ridiculous.

Unfortunately, with what we pay today at a restaurant, this place is overpriced and not worth going back.

Always a pleasant experience at Local Lansdowne. Specially, had to write of a review after the service provided by Margo. From the moment she greeted us, she was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. She had the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth—checking in often enough that we always had what we needed, but never making us feel rushed.

My server was Ronnie and she was amazing! At the beginning of service she learnt the whole tables names and just overall had a great vibe. I have a severe gluten allergy and she made me feel extremely safe by explaining the allergy protocols and continued to limit cross contamination through the whole service.
