I went here the day that they opened. They only had one dish available - chicken wraps. The staff are super friendly and the food is tasty, but they are disorganized and a little hectic. I hope these problems get ironed out once they've been around for a while, because they are very sweet and kind. They gave my girls free cookies and I wasn't even ordering them food!

Shawarma, ladies and gentlemen. Shawarma is made with fresh, simple ingredients, it is made with love, and with passion. Shawarma consists of marinated thinly sliced chicken, crunchy homemade pickled cucumbers, homemade garlic sauce with a side of freshly cut fries and garnished with parsley and paprika. That’s it. That is what goes inside this heavenly piece of thin Arabic bread. Oh the bread. In Arabic, it is called Saj, made with perfection and once wrapped, it is slightly toasted for a light crunch once taken a bite out of this perfectly made shawarma at Mama’s Kitchen located at 180 Lees Avenue, Ottawa Ontario. I have been in Canada for 15 years, and this is the first time I taste shawarma that instantly took me back home, giving me goosebumps. Thank you chef Mahmoud Dawoud.—————Food is an extremely sentimental and crucial part of my upbringing and personality. We had a fantastic meal with this great family. We pre-ordered our food from the menu which was explained to us in detail and it was ready for us when.we arrived. The food was exceptional..everything homemade and the secret sauce was amazing. highly recommended
