Mamma Teresa is easily my favorite Italian restaurant in Ottawa. Classic menu at a beautiful old mansion. Friendly service, reasonable prices and great portions. I especially love the side peppers and olives, and the creative presentation of the desserts. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is always a pleasant experience! Amazing food- my go to is the Linguine alla Tina which is just delicious if you love seafood. Johnny is the best server. He really delivers fast and friendly service!

First time back since I was a child in the late 1970s! Classic Italian dishes in an old mansion, generous portions. It is nice to have an Italian meal untouched by modern trends, heavy on the cheese, light on the garlic and chili, good comfort food. Unfortunately the pricing is not family friendly - the crowd almost exclusively 30-60 yr olds, no kids or family dinners since main courses start in the low $30 range. Enjoyable evening with friends!

Servers were nice so three stars for that. Food is expensive and overpriced for pasta. It took a long time to get our drinks and food but if it was freshly made and delicious then waiting for a bit is ok. Unfortunately, my young daughters' fettuccine Alfredo was very hard which I only discovered after getting home, otherwise I would have mentioned it at the restaurant. There's al dente, and then there is crunchy way undercooked pasta and for what they're charging for these dishes, should not be happening, EVER. They should have consistent quality control. I got the veal and it was tasty but the sauce on it was a bit too salty. So for the price, it's not really worth it in my opinion. Food is okay but to warrant what they are charging, especially for pasta, it should be done right each and every time. No excuse for hard crunchy pasta and over-salted sauces.

Nice traditional style Italian restaurant. The service was wonderful, portions were generous and you can definitely taste that it was house made. Highly

My husband and I made a takeout order. We had the carbonara, cannelloni, and the lobster ravioli. All dishes were incredible. Even during the pick up process, the staff were incredibly friendly and the restaurant seem to have a really lovely feel to it (family owned and cozy). As other reviews mentioned, the outside doesn’t accurately convey the interior – it definitely feels much more formal. We will absolutely be going back!Kid-friendliness: We do have a young son so we were sure about dining in but after taking a peek inside, it looks like there is a decent amount of room between tables. However the front entrance is not accessible, so I would plan to not have a stroller.Wheelchair accessibility: The front entrance is unfortunately not accessible.

Really nice Italian pastas that are an ode to traditional old school restaurants. Flavors were good and the side olives were absolutely delicious. Portions were really good, which was a slight surprise, and our server was amazing. The gentleman who served us was clearly a career server who knew what they were doing and made the meal all the more enjoyable. It is my opinion that the price was atrociously high for pasta that isn't innovatively different from homemade. Don't get me wrong it's good homemade pasta though. All in all a good meal that I would do once a year at most because of the prices. The lack of thing that would demand going back regularly is what could elevate this place.
