I had the pleasure of visiting Mandarin recently and couldn’t be happier with my experience. Our server, Christina, was exceptionally polite, attentive, and kind. She made us feel very well taken care of from start to finish. Honestly, she’s one of the best and most professional servers I’ve ever met.

Joyce Yue excellent service, excellent food with lots of choices. I have some food intolerances, everything is clearly labeled. I did not have to guess or worry about what I was eating.

Mandarin in Kanata is a great spot for family gatherings, especially when you’re in the mood for a buffet with a little bit of everything.

The variety of dishes is impressive, offering a mix of Chinese classics, sushi, and Western options like prime rib. There’s truly something for everyone, and the dessert section, with its ice cream and pastries, is a standout feature.

That said, it was incredibly busy during my visit, and a few of the more popular dishes, like the lemon chicken, were empty when I went up. This meant waiting a bit for refills, which was a bit disappointing but understandable given the crowd.

The service, however, was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and worked hard to clear plates and keep drinks refilled despite the packed restaurant.

Overall, the food was well-prepared and enjoyable, even with the occasional wait for certain items.

Mandarin Kanata is a solid choice for a family-friendly meal or a large group gathering.
