Disappointing and dishonest service.
Update (after the restaurant’s response):
The response from the restaurant is simply not true.
When we arrived, I first asked for a larger side table and was told no. I then asked for a small corner table (the same size as the table we were eventually seated at). The server told me that the corner tables were “closed.” I also asked about other side tables and was told those were not available either, so we had no choice but to sit in the middle of the dining area.
For context, I specifically asked for a corner or side table because I was wearing a low-cut top and wanted a bit more privacy. This was a reasonable and simple request.
However, when we were leaving, I clearly saw another group dining at the exact corner table I originally asked for. It was obviously not “closed.”
If a table is unavailable, please just say so honestly. Making up reasons and forcing guests into uncomfortable seating is unacceptable. This experience was both disappointing and dishonest.

While the chicken bowl was good, the korean fried chicken was not the authentic light and crispy coated chicken with the sweet and spicy sauce not tasting like the yangnyeom sauce. The other dishes looked much better and would return to try those.
Drink was completely flat and would be better serving a can instead. Service was fast and friendly.

The taste is 10/10, but it felt like there was less meat than expected :’)
Customer-friendly service with a subtle, pleasant atmosphere.

Nice place, stew was on the smaller side so was the tofu, barely found any in my hot stew.

I ordered the chicken rice bowl and requested for extra protein (over $7 extra) I expected the portion size to be larger given that I had paid more; however, I am still disappointed. I used to love Maroo, they did not cheap out on portions when they were located at Bronson/Gladstone but now that they have gained popularity they dropped the ball on the portion size.

Halal food (Serves alcohol and pork so YMMV).
Great service + food arrived in a timely manner.
The noodle to beef ratio was perfect for Udon noodles that we got. It was very flavorful as well.
The chicken was alright (priced well, but sauces were mid).

My husband comes for lunch at Maroo frequently with his co workers but I am first time here. I’m impressed of the quality of foods , so fresh (fresh tofu for appetite is to die for, the red sauce is amazing) I had bulgogi stew with oh so generous in portion and tender beef. He order Spicy pork rice bowl, so so good ( I stole some from his 😁) We also order fried chicken, the best fried chicken ever had, light batter and moist meats. I need to bug him to bring me back for more. Thank you Maroo!

I ordered food delivered to the hotel.
Warm and delicious chicken arrived well packaged.
It was a rainy day, and it was once again put in a plastic bag that protects the paper bag. (I don’t know if the delivery company does that.)

We used a coupon and got the fried chicken with soy garlic sauce. Wow it’s delicious and plentiful!
*since the location moved, we haven’t enjoyed it as much. Last few times it was quite greasy.

Service here was hospitable and friendly! Love the booth style table setups and the cleanliness of the establishment.
The food that we ordered was delicious and very flavourful. We ordered the bulgogi bowl, the K BBQ beef shortribs , and the Korean fried chicken. Very moist and juicy. Overall very pleasing.

Most delicious meal ever. I got the beef udon noodles, texture is perfect, meat is succulent and tasty, kimchi is crunchy and spicy. Service is amazing and I genuinely wanted to cry after trying their kimchi. Try this place you won’t regret it!
Every time I order from this restaurant, it never disappoints. I usually go to the restaurant but since they move I just do delivery. I highly recommend ordering there bulgogi sandwiches and pasta it really good.
