Was craving some noodle soup in a cold day and found this spot. Got a house salad, side of kimchi and spicy jjangbong. The house salad sesame oil dressing was surprisingly good. The kimchi was solid. The jjangbong was respectable, not the best I've had but decent. I'd probably try something different next time around if I make my way back to ottawa again.

Maroo was such a yummy experience! The space was a lot bigger than we originally thought, which was a pleasant surprise. The food was good and came out to us quite quickly! Their menu is also incredibly unique and we will be coming back to try other dishes!

Ordered takeout from here and overall the food was okay. I found the Korean fried chicken to be a little mediocre, it was not that crispy, might be because it got stale in the takeout box, though I’ve definitely had better Korean fried chicken from elsewhere. The bulgogi, however, was really good! Very savoury and flavourful. The sides with the bulgogi were a bit small though, would’ve liked to see a bit more potatoes and kimchi. Overall, good food, might be better in person.

Came in 15 mins to close and asked to use washroom ….was literally pushed out saying we are closed repeatedly like a parrot….will avoid business with this place. Hope you go under like the others before you ?

I love the ambiance it was welcoming, calm, and clean. The service is fast. I ordered Steak Bites, the flavours were really good, and the presentation was awesome! Though the steak was overcooked... Unless you like your steak that way, I would order something else. It sounds like they have other items that are really good.

Great new location, same delicious food as the old place.I carried a CO2 monitor to verify air quality today and this restaurant has the best air I have ever encountered. The old location had HEPA filters for Covid safety.These measures alone will make me go back to Maroo.

Worked here for a short period of time firstly the owner is absolutely over the top with everything she is paying minimum wage to people who get a tip out of a small amount she puts ads for server roles than when you go to the interview because of her English you believe with training you will become a server, what's the response well you don't know the menu so you can't be a server been in the industry for over 10 years never heard of anything like that I've never seen someone so picky to the point of not even a quarter gram of sauce In a take out container during training you can be repremended ( first time even doing this task btw) food and staff are awesome but the owner is ridiculous literally was told because my shift was 3 hours I was not allowed a bathroom break... which is illegal, also was told if after a month she thinks i pass her training than she will hire me again illegal, I was told if I had a cigarette before work again I was not aloud to have anymore shifts even though I had a full change of clothes and items to mask the smell than was told its a no cologne environment even though I don't serve after being advertised a serving job... amazing food ownership is absolutely horrible and the labour board needs to do an investigation not allowing an employee to use the bathroom when there is one table in the entire restaurant staff wise there was a server , the owner who's always there, multiple kitchen staff when I asked my trainer if I could use the washroom I was told yes than and of the cooks said what are you doing I and using the washroom the response I got was your working arnt you do you have a break? Than as I hold in my bathroom break and go back up stairs I was sent home oh did I mention I was asked for a doctors note for my grandmother who had a stroke, she didn't want to put me on the schedule till I could provide a doctor's note for my grandmother who had a stroke not my illness my 90 year old dementia ridden grandmother, if the owner was not a criminal breaking labour laws and was someone else would strongly recommend during the interview . Not to mention inappropriate questions during interview process that my outside life has nothing to do with the position as an advertised server till told I was an assistant ( btw I managed bars for over 7 years) was just looking for an easy going part time job 100 percent would never recommend giving this woman a dollar or a single customer the only reason I wouldn't take things further Is the staff was super nice except one cook
