Ordered 8oz Wagyu Tenderloin. If it wasn’t for the charcoal bbq they cook it on, would’ve been fantastic. Order if you like carbon chunks on your steak.

Food and service were excellent. My main comment is that it desperately needs sound proofing. It was so loud. Music was also too loud and reverberating off the hard surfaces. It was like eating dinner in a nightclub. Also the chairs were too big for the space and make tables crammed and very close together.

The food was excellent. We had the tomahawk (which was cooked perfectly), the duck fat fries, potatoes and mushrooms. For dessert we had the cheesecake which was alright. Our server was very attentive and checked on us often.My only feedback would be that the tables have a granite like top which was causing the plates to slip a fair bit when cutting our steak. Maybe some mats would help.

Went there to celebrate my son’s birthday. It was lovely and they even made us a card and gave us a slice of cheesecake with a sparkler on top!The tomahawk steak was perfectly done and ample for the 3 of us.

Very beautiful restaurant, very pleasant and chic, I loved my time at Mati. If you think you have ever eaten a very tender steak in your life let me tell you that this is not the case because it is at Mati that everything happens. Come to them if you are ready to spend :)
Bar none, worse service of my life. Literally did not have a waiter assigned to us, while the tables on both sides were being checked on frequently. Enterered at 7, ordered the seafood tower right away, it arrives at 8, hot portions were ice cold. They asked if we wanted the hot portions re-made, seeing as we ordered a steak we said no thanks. They send all the hots out again even though we ate the first attempt, now we are not hungry for the steak that came at 9 (2 hours after arriving). There was a huge chunk of white fat not rendered whatsoever, gristle, kind of thin and bland. AA beef from loblaws on sale can be cooked better without a doubt. The duck fat fries were very inconsistant and lots of burned pieces. The seafood would be passable, if it was hot, but for the price just go to Rose Bowl or Giovanis for sure. Between the service and steaks, not sure which is the biggest joke. 250$ for 2 people completely neglected.

Our dinner at this charming spot was absolutely delightful! We were warmly greeted upon arrival, and the cozy ambiance set the stage for a wonderful evening. The menu offered a variety of tempting options, and we eagerly ordered a bit of everything. However, there was a slight mix-up with one of our orders, but the staff quickly rectified the mistake with a sincere apology and complimentary dessert. The food itself was divine—each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Despite the minor hiccup, we left with full bellies and smiles on our faces, already planning our next visit.
Overall great experience, the food in particular was the best part! My boyfriend and I took the seafood tour and we couldn’t get enough we would’ve ordered one for each of us honestly!!!

Foood was a total miss, we’ve been here fours times in the past 2 years and these past two times the food has been subpar and inedible . Dry and tasteless burger, one of my sister’s and mother returned their entree which they voided- very much appreciated .Buuut the service was great we really enjoyed how all the staff helped each other out it was refreshing to see. Our hostess/server was 10/10 and the whole spot was cleeeeanas usual .Not too sure what’s happened in the past year but I hope you retain that staff they’re your backbone but unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon .
