The donuts felt artificial-flavor-free and authentic! I tried the Black Forest, but it was hard to make a choice as they all looked equally delicious. Someone recommended Maverick’s Donuts for my Ottawa trip and I don’t regret listening to them! Will be back ?

Maverick's donuts are amazing. The small take-out location offers no frills, but the treats are exceptionally tasty and compare favourably to many of the city's other offerings.

People in the line-up had great comments on how good the donuts were. We ordered a couple of fritters, maple & bacon and lemon ricotta. All three were excellent, especially the lemon ricotta, which was a terrific cake donut ( hope you read this Aaya)
Returned on Thursday to get some before flying out. Met the owner, nice man. Highly recommend and will return when I visit Ottawa again.

The donuts were way overpriced and old, they tasted like they were fried in oil that's been used about a thousand times. The donuts are also cakey and not very donut-y don't recommend it to anyone, such a waste of money. Better spent somewhere else. Disappointed :(

Maverick's Donuts never disappoints! The vegan donuts are limited and go out fast though, but if you're lucky you could get a chance to try their vegan cinnamon or vegan oreo which are both amazing.

I was originally going to go to the store across the street, but I quickly retreated when I saw that it was fake gelato that had puffed up.
Came here!! The child eagerly spreads the gelato!!
I tried the pistachio and mango flavors. The mango was a bit sweet, but the pistachio was delicious.

Used to love Maverick’s and come here all the time. Unfortunately this location has really gone downhill and we will not be back. The owner is rude and aggressive, and they’ve severely reduced their vegan options and seem to only make about 2-4 vegan donuts each day. Really sad as we used to love this place. Luckily, the other locations still seem to be well-operated.

$5.75 bottles of water at their pop-ups is disgraceful gouging.
Response: Thanks for the disrespectful response from the owner about my "displaced anger" I think my reviews will stand, you could have just explained it to me respectfully, and off that premise it seems fitting.

I tried the delicious Maple Bacon Donut, which Ottawa is known for. I also treated myself to some s'mores. Both very, very tasty

These are donuts with a cake texture. You have to know it and love it. I didn't like the maple syrup donut, full of oil. I prefer traditional donuts. Welcoming staff! Small, friendly shop.
