Store was supposed to open at 10 but was still closed when I went at 10:15. First time trying to go there too

Don’t miss this awesome donut shop if you’re in the Byward Market area. It’s a little shop so look carefully - we almost missed it! Donuts were awesome. Maple glaze was the best and we liked the ones with fruit filling and the espresso.

I purchased one donut (boston cream) and although it was ok, it was not worth the $5.65 I was charged. That’s the most I’ve ever paid for a donut and I happen to indulge in a nice donut everywhere I travel. I unfortunately won’t be back.

Donuts were super good! So many different flavours, more than they had on their website (annoyingly). But so so good. They’re thick and cakey donuts.
And the staff were absolutely lovely, so sweet!

I stopped by Lapointe Street Food near the ByWard Market and was completely blown away. First off—the calamari was out of this world. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with a dipping sauce that brought the whole thing together. Easily the best calamari I’ve had in the city!

The rest of the food was just as impressive. Every bite was packed with flavor, super fresh, and clearly made with care. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the seafood was incredibly well-prepared.

The service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. Staff were helpful with recommendations and made the whole visit feel easy and enjoyable. They genuinely seemed to care about making sure every customer had a great experience.

And the atmosphere? So fun and vibrant! It has that perfect mix of casual street food vibe and great energy from the ByWard Market area. It’s a great spot to relax, grab a bite, and people-watch.

Overall, Lapointe Street Food is a must-visit. Whether you’re a seafood lover or just looking for something fresh and satisfying, this place delivers in every way. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Everytime I go here, I get the chocolate dip donut! They’ve been sold out 3 days in a row and I’m still going to go back to try get some tomorrow because they are that good! This is officially my mum and i’s favorite donut shop for 3 years straight- please go if you haven’t! You won’t regret it plus the owner is literally the SWEETEST gentleman on the planet. This place is truly a gem 💎 1000/10

I love the customer service. Very professional and pay great attention to details! The donuts are absolutely amazing too.

The gentleman working was nice. The apple fritter was not very flavourful and seemed dry. The vanilla sprinkle was okay, but I've had alot better. I wouldn't purchase again

Apple fritters were EXTREMELY stale,actually had to pitch them in the garbage.

Mavericks donuts are my local favorites but the ones I got at this location were really stale and the selection was pretty bad. I'm guessing they don't make them fresh at this location which would seem to be the issue. Stick to the other locations if you want the good stuff.

Service was exceptional at the Byward location. He was friendly, product knowledgeable, gave great recommendations and even made sure I didn’t leave without my cell phone when I almost left it behind. Couldn’t be more impressed. I highly recommend coming here! The donuts are delicious!
