At 6am I went to the outdoor counter , pressed the button and waitedâŠ.pressed button 2 more times, finally gave up, tried the front door - locked! Terrible service especially waiting when itâs cold outside

I ordered a Big Mac on Uber Eats and the bottom bun was so rock hard the entire burger was inedible. No clue how the worker thought it was a useable bun. Tried to get a refund on Uber Eats but was unsuccessful. McDonaldâs has poor quality burgers in general (expected with fast food) but to be served something inedible that shouldâve been caught in the cooking process is very disappointing. Not my usual experience at other locations in the city

I've came to this McDonald's once on a 2 day vacation from Toronto in 2019 or 2020. And is also the only one I've been to and it was horrible! Everything was EXTREMLY salty. It's like they put and entire bucket of salt into my food. That's how salty it felt. And the fries were basiclly undercooked. I hope every McDonald's in Ottawa isn't like this because what the actual hell??

A familiar morning stop that still feels like home
This McDonaldâs on Bank Street has been part of my routine for many years. Back when I used to get off my STO bus on the way to the office, this was always my first stop â a dark roast drip coffee with two cream and a muffin, usually part of the old $2 promo deal. Simple, warm, and exactly what I needed to start the day.
The location is great, right across from 3 Brewers, and it has that steady downtown flow without feeling rushed. Even after all these years, coming back still feels comforting. Itâs one of those places that quietly becomes part of your daily rhythm.
Glad I finally captured a photo of it. Iâll keep revisiting whenever Iâm nearby.

Iâm a Ubereat driver and try to pick up a order at 4 am today and when get there the staff say they didnât see the the order so they tell me wait for 6 minutes but I end up waiting for 35 minutes and the staff said too bad What kind of service are McDonaldâs going down to drain Owners please address this problem

First of all, my order was incorrect. I specifically ordered a Spicy McCrispy Chicken, but I was given a completely different item.
More importantly, there was a serious hygiene issue. I clearly saw that the person preparing my food was not wearing gloves. When I mentioned this to the staff member who handed me my order, I was told that they no longer use gloves due to a ânew policy.â I honestly donât understand which hygiene policy this would comply with.
Basic hygiene standards are the minimum expectation from a fast-food chain, and this experience was very disappointing. Between the wrong order and the lack of hygiene, I left with a very negative impression.
Didn't know that a walk up window is the norm here. Staff wouldn't come to to the window and even tell me? Had to Google it. Standing out in the cold, waiting to understand how I can order is crazy. Just tried to ask the staff what and how to order and they just walked away. Actually unreal. Not from the area and I guess this is what we do here. Smh.

The staff were friendly. I donât usually eat fast food, especially McDonaldâs, which Iâve avoided for years, but I had to pick up two sandwiches today. As soon as I finished them, I got a bad stomachache that lasted through the night. To be fair, Iâm not sure if it was because I normally eat healthy or something specific in the food caused it. It was awful.
