Feels a bit silly to review a McDonald’s but this one deserves it. I dont know how they do it but their food is consistently excellent. Even though it’s a bit further than the 2 other McDonald’s near our place, I will go out of my way to stop at this location because of this. I always find the service to be friendly and quick. My fav McDonald’s in Ottawa 🫶

I ordered a DOUBLE Quarter Pounder and when I get home it's only a QUARTER pounder. I think the person taking orders on front counter should go to school and learn proper English before being a cashier/order taker

I had a great customer service experience via phone, with Matthew, the Assistant Manager at the McDonald’s on 5179 Bronson Ave, McDonald’s Ottawa. I came in with a concern about a credit card transaction that showed I had dined at their location on January 23, even though I hadn’t.
Matthew took the time to listen carefully and genuinely understood where I was coming from. He checked their transactions for that day and did his best to help resolve the issue. Although he wasn’t able to find the transaction in their system, I truly appreciated his patience, professionalism, and willingness to assist.
It meant a lot that he took my concern seriously and made the effort to help, even when the issue couldn’t be fully resolved. Thank you, Matthew!

After two years, the establishment still fails to provide adequate coffee service. I have observed burgers being smashed and discarded in the bag. Additionally, I witnessed a staff member using a torch to strike a methamphetamine or crack pipe near the garbage area, which is highly concerning. Furthermore, handwashing practices have been severely neglected, as I have not observed anyone washing their hands, before handling food. The establishment is increasingly plagued by drug addiction and appears to be a haven for homeless and intoxicated individuals. In my opinion, the overnight and daytime managers should be dismissed. Customers should not be paying a premium for subpar service and an unsettling experience with individuals who are homeless and under the influence of drugs. The establishment is unsafe and should not be frequented by children.

I was missing an item from my order. When I walked back to ask about it, there was an active fire outside, which already made the situation uncomfortable.
It got worse when a cook outside accused me of eating part of my sandwich and leaving the rest, which was absurd and unprofessional. When I asked again about the missing item, the staff member I spoke to deflected responsibility and made a discriminatory comment blaming another worker’s English instead of addressing the mistake.
Between the missing food, false accusations, and inappropriate comments, this was very disappointing.

We ordered about 60$ worth of food, 1 burger 2 chicken burgers, A 10 piece and a 20 piece 2 large fries 2 large drinks And 2 ice creams Our drinks where wrong they gave us water and said it was sprite because the machine wasn't working and they didn't tell us until I went back in. Both ice creams where wrong, we got 2 burgers and 1 spicy chicken burger which we didn't ask for. And we are missing our 10 piece, staff was slow and sloppy at their job, oh and we are missing both lage fries, one is a small snack fry
Avoid this mc Donald's go to literally any other 24 hour mc Donald or triple check your order if you have time to wait for the corrections to be made
Highly dont recommend this location, would definitely ask for a total refund

I ordered a McVeiggie burger. They made it fresh because they didnt have the patty ready. They burnt the party and made the sandwich with just the patty and lettuce. I was expecting the patty to be cooked not burnt. I was also expecting the regular veggies in there as promised on the menu. I had it on my way home. I had to throw it after 2 bytes.
Very bad service. 2 time i asked that cofe is cold please give me hot cofe. they re-served the same coffee under the name of fresh and hot coffee.

This McDonald's have become a place of homeless shelter, I work at night and its a place where I go for my snack and coffee. But its becoming worse every night I go there. Homeless people sleeping, bad odor from these people sometimes unbearable. Just today as walked in to get something to eat and get a coffee I couldn't I noticed few or more homeless some sleeping bowing there head against table, some had their bags and all belongings on their side. Moreover, their body odor and some unpleasant smell can be detected, so I left without taking or buying anything. The staff are excellent and do their best to seve everyone, but thse homeless are taking the advantage and making it even difficult for the staff to do their job. I have encountered staff cleaning the toilet after those careless homeless made a mess without zero considerate for others. If this continues as is now, MacDonald may lose good customers like me.
