Food was hot and fresh. Spring rolls were very good. Crispy salt and pepper pork was yummy. Noodles and soup dumplings were just average. Definitely would consider for lunch or dinner if you’re in the area.

I would love if google offered a 2.5 star feature because that would be right in the middle, exactly where Mekong belongs. I would describe it as very average. You know that it is a reliable Cantonese/Szechwan place where you’re probably going to get the same flavour every time. That being said the flavour is nothing to rave over. I found that it had too much msg, the soup dumplings tasted microwaved, the General Tao was not spicy and a little chewy and the crispy beef was very salty. The Pad Thai was actually pretty good. It seemed as though their specialty was a 3 course pecking duck, however, you needed to call 2 days prior to reserve it, it looked fantastic and I would have liked to have tried that, had I known. The waitress was very friendly. For a total bill of $120 I feel like there’s other better options in that price range.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. We always get the same order, 5 spice prawn, hunan dumplings, general tao and crispy beef. All are very delicious. The owner and staff are all very professional, and kind.

Our crispy beef was barely warm, the flavours were below average and the meat dishes did not taste freshly made. We could not recommend them. Average $35/ Person. We ordered 4 dishes for 3 adults. Over-valued. Jade land’s food was far better.

The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered for takeout and the food was perfectly packed. We brought it home and it was eaten in minutes! My 5 year old daughter said it was the best Chinese food she’s ever had and LOVED the beef with black bean sauce and the shrimp spring rolls. She had the leftover chicken pad thai for lunch today. Highly recommend this place!
I’ve been hitting up Mekong Restaurant in Ottawa at least once a year for ages, and this 5-star review is so overdue. Mekong offers an Asian fusion menu with all the classics that will take you on a flavor pilgrimage. The crispy beef steals the show every time. It’s like the cow said, “I’m done with the pasture” and showed up on my plate as a crunchy, savory supermodel. I took one bite and forgot my own name for a hot minute. Appetizers like the Hunan dumplings and egg rolls are solid. Our waitress recommended a seasonally available snow pea sautéed plant leaves dish - incredible. Five stars, a billion stars, Mekong is the GOAT if you’re craving an unpretentious and well executed Asian dinner.

This was trash the worst food I ever ate in an Asian restaurant, pho and laab was bland no flavor whatsoever and the waitress was wearing headphones the whole times walking around not paying attention to serve the customer, anyone wanna eat please I recommend don't waste your time on this restaurant

When you see 4.4 you expect it to be decent… but nothing had flavour. Server took forever to come check if there were new customers, no podium, he was wearing ear pods while serving us. Never checked in on us, didn’t bother to bring soy sauce. Food court is better than this.
