Went back after 7 years and still disappointed. The food lacked flavour and was drenched in thick glutenous starchy sauce. This sauce is on practically everything unfortunately. Seafood was mostly overly breaded and deep fried sadly. We won’t come back.

7 years ago:!Overly salty food I had to send back to the kitchen due to their use of MSG on everything. Not a healthy place to eat. The server told us she never eats there because of the over use of salt and MSG. We will not be going back there.

I recently visited Mekong. We started with the pot stickers, which were absolutely delicious and a great beginning to the meal.
Unfortunately, the experience went downhill with the well recommended crispy beef… What arrived was essentially batter in sauce. I looked through several pieces and could not find a single scrap of beef. When we raised this with the staff, we were told the meat was “thinly sliced” but in my opinion, it was closer to non-existent.
Overall, a disappointing main dish that didn’t live up to the restaurant’s reputation.

We ordered a rather expensive dinner an we are very disappointed 😞 the food was tasteless an our meat with veggies dishes were mostly vegetables rice was overcooked an the chicken was breaded too thick an the sweet and sour pork was too much breading as well the egg rolls were very greasy an flat almost nothing in them. I would not recommend this place nor will we order from there again.

Food was hot and fresh. Spring rolls were very good. Crispy salt and pepper pork was yummy. Noodles and soup dumplings were just average. Definitely would consider for lunch or dinner if you’re in the area.

I would love if google offered a 2.5 star feature because that would be right in the middle, exactly where Mekong belongs. I would describe it as very average. You know that it is a reliable Cantonese/Szechwan place where you’re probably going to get the same flavour every time. That being said the flavour is nothing to rave over. I found that it had too much msg, the soup dumplings tasted microwaved, the General Tao was not spicy and a little chewy and the crispy beef was very salty. The Pad Thai was actually pretty good. It seemed as though their specialty was a 3 course pecking duck, however, you needed to call 2 days prior to reserve it, it looked fantastic and I would have liked to have tried that, had I known. The waitress was very friendly. For a total bill of $120 I feel like there’s other better options in that price range.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. We always get the same order, 5 spice prawn, hunan dumplings, general tao and crispy beef. All are very delicious. The owner and staff are all very professional, and kind.

Our crispy beef was barely warm, the flavours were below average and the meat dishes did not taste freshly made. We could not recommend them. Average $35/ Person. We ordered 4 dishes for 3 adults. Over-valued. Jade land’s food was far better.

The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered for takeout and the food was perfectly packed. We brought it home and it was eaten in minutes! My 5 year old daughter said it was the best Chinese food she’s ever had and LOVED the beef with black bean sauce and the shrimp spring rolls. She had the leftover chicken pad thai for lunch today. Highly recommend this place!
