Excellent service. We ordered the family platter, there was enough food for a family of five. Out of the sides. The standout was the beans. They were very flavorful, the other sides were not very good. Mainly very dry. From the meats the ribs were the most flavorful. However, everything tasted a bit dry, the ribs were not fall off the bone, the brisket was a little bit tough with the fat cap still there and with very little bark. The pulled beef was okay if eaten with the barbecue sauce. Overall, the main issue was that a lot of things tasted very dry, however, if I were to recommend I would say get the ribs and the beans and the rice.

The BBQ was good - brisket and chicken were the best on the platter. For the price tho, the sides seem really small. We got Mac and cheese, beans and rice with cornbread. I would’ve thought it would be two pieces of cornbread, but it was only one. With that being said the cornbread was dry, unfortunately. I wasn’t aware that it was halal, so makes sense why there were no pork options. Pickup was okay, my husband had to wait in line for a while for a family to pay and sit. It would have been nice if there was a counter separate for people picking up orders already paid for. Overall, it was a decent meal but for $100+ I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon.

My favourite spot, if it’s my choice for dinner this is it! My favourite is the poutine with burnt ends, so filling. The staff is always friendly with smiles. The atmosphere is nice but the place is small. The food is always 10/10

Was looking for something that wasn’t a chain while recently in Ottawa. Reviews seemed good, so I have this a shot.
First, you should know that you have to order at the counter and pay in advance. That’s not totally obvious at any point.
Food was reasonably good, but doesn’t compare to BBQ cooked in a smoker. With that said, good luck finding authentic southern BBQ in a downtown location.
Overall, not bad.

Had an amazing experience at Moe’s BBQ! The food was delicious—especially the brisket and poutine—but what really stood out was the service. Aden was a fantastic person—friendly, professional, and made sure everything was perfect. He truly made the visit special. Highly recommend this place, and be sure to ask for Adam!
