Finally today I have opportunity to tryout tajine chicken with harira soup, owner Souhail offered special Moraccan tea, what a yummy flavourful Moraccan food. I really enjoyed all food.
Harira soup was as yummy as looks like my mom make it. Absolutely next level.
I strongly recommend to every one, should go and enjoy quality healthy yummy food. It is worth to try out.
Don’t forget to ask Harira soup and tea…….
This food now in my treat option.
Thank you Bro Souhail for the superb hospitality.

One of our family’s very favourite food spots. The chicken sandwiches have a creamy rich “homemade” sauce that when we inquired about, we learned is made with healthy whole ingredients only — e.g. eggs and olive oil, though they declined to tell us what their secret family recipe entails — which I understand :)! We also learned the fries are air fried and made with very little oil. The beef tajine is another favourite — the beef is infused with the juices of plum, making it one of the most delicious, tender meats you can get in the city. We’ll be back again and again!

ETA: oh, and the tea! Also a 10/10!

Dining at Moul Hanout in Ottawa was an unforgettable experience that transported me straight to Morocco. From the moment I stepped into the cozy eatery, I was greeted with the warm hospitality of owners Souhail Bouachri and Kawtar Boutbaa, a husband-and-wife duo from Essaouira. Their passion for authentic Moroccan cuisine shines through in every dish. I savored the chicken tajine, a delightful combination of tender chicken, olives, and fries, all simmered in a flavorful sauce. The seafood pastilla was equally impressive, with a crisp pastry enveloping a generous filling of shrimp and vermicelli noodles. Each meal was complemented by a complimentary cup of refreshing Moroccan mint tea. The owners' stories of their hometown and their commitment to preserving Moroccan culinary traditions made the dining experience even more special. Whether you're a connoisseur of Moroccan cuisine or a newcomer eager to explore, Moul Hanout offers a genuine taste of Morocco that feels like a home away from home.

Very friendly local place. I've spent time in Morocco in the past and have since been looking for Moroccan food in Ontario, with no luck until I found this place. The food is excellent, tastes like real Moroccan food. The only unhappy note is that, when we visited, the construction on Bank street when was making business difficult, so they may have a reduced menu when you arrive, but there's plenty of good options regardless. You could easily miss the place if you didn't know it was there, but it's worth it. There's parking in front.

Amazing food. Perhaps the best in Ottawa. Everything about this place will make you fall in love with it. The quality of dish, reasonable prices, and how pleasant and authentic the owners are.

Moul Hanout is an amazing Family-Run Moroccan restaurant and grocer. Food was absolutely amazing, and the owners are some of the friendliest people we have met in Ottawa.
