Next never disappoints. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming—perfect for a relaxed evening or a special night out. The food is perfectly handcrafted, with each dish showing incredible attention to detail and flavour. Chef Blackie takes real pride in what he creates and serves. The cocktails are equally impressive, creative, balanced, and absolutely delicious.
A special shoutout to our server, Barb, who was (and always is) amazing. Her warmth, attentiveness, and knowledge elevate the whole experience every single time. Service like hers keeps us coming back.

Thursday night tapas is absolutely out of this world! Very tasty and unique selections. Service was top notch and the ambiance is very nice. The two man band was superb but it was a little too loud. Our new go-to place for Thursday evenings!

It was my first time at Next, and I was looking forward to the evening. One look at the menu and it is obvious some has put time into creating an experience. Unfortunately the execution was terrible.
My wife and I had the Blind Sharing menu item, 8 courses of different plates (lots of food, a variety of food). Each dish was well crafted for visual consumption, and the work showed. Unfortunately each dish was bland in taste, the short ribs tasted like it was cooked hours earlier, the udon beef tips had more in common with tough beef jerky, the Salmond was overcooked (mush on inside, dried out on outside), and everything was served at room temperature. For a 275 dollar meal, it had such potential, but was nothing more than a pretentious underwhelming meal.
Of note, the couple beside us were upset because of some confusion with a gift card. I did not catch all the details, but the way the waiter handled ( was our waiter as well), their concern were dismissed. The poor couple spend the next 10 minutes very upset and vocal. I think what was lost on the waiter, is he did a poor job communicating and now has lost a customer.
Of note, the plain water offered at the start of the meal was terrible. At the end of the meal I mentioned this to my waiter, and he should mention this to the manager. He told me he was the manager, and that it would cost too much money. I asked him if they stored the water in the refrigerator with the cover off because the water tasted like the refrigerator. He told me they did. After receiving the brush off, like the couple beside me, I realised what kind of establishment this was.
(Also, there seemed to be a wedding reception/dinner taking place in the facility, perhaps the B team / dishwasher had prepared our meal, as the A team was busy servicing the wedding)
I cannot reconcile the high rating of the restaurant, I can only speak to my experience that day.

Never going back! Food ok. Service rushed. But the worst part: I had a wonderful gift card and was told I could not use it towards the gratuity. The gift card = cash. Last evening we celebrated the 96th birthday of a friend’s father. We were delighted with the wonderful range of dishes - each beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Everyone in our party of six went away happy and satisfied. NeXt kindly served the cake that we brought with us for the birthday “boy”. The service was a perfect blend of attentiveness and discretion. A wonderful evening - thanks to all of your staff.

This was our third visit and it is ALWAYS fabulous. Great atmosphere, wonderful service, and food with flavour combinations that are pure delight. We liked every dish we tried - three different appetizers and three mains. The espresso martini was also a hit. Very lucky that Stittsville has a place of this calibre in our area.

I celebrated my birthday there two years ago, and the memory is so valuable that I feel it’s worth sharing—even after all this time. we went for their menu tasting. The place was beautiful and the food was delicious But the most remarkable part of Next is Michael, the chef and owner. He’s a genuinely great person who makes every guest’s experience truly special
