In-person rudeness that was shocking. We have ordered from Nippon several times and there usually aren’t issues. We ordered for pickup lately and they had messed up several items with an allergy item. On pickup, having already paid, we asked for the correct items and the lady at the front just walked to the back and yelled in the rudest tone that they were busy and wouldnt fix it. A level of rudeness we’ve rarely ever seen from an Ottawa restaurant. You may have good luck with them, but when they screw up your order at dinner, you’re eventually out of luck. We can’t ever order again from a place that treats their customers with such disrespect.

Best sushi rolls in the south end. Not too expensive either. Tuna is fresh and clean tasting, not fishy at all.
Shrimp tempura is always crispy even after delivery, and the same goes for the ones in the special rolls.
There is one roll with crispy onions that was a bit disappointing, but all the classic rolls are excellent.

Ordered on ubereats the Maki Party Tray and everything was absolutely delicious. Rice was perfectly cooked and the right ratio between rice and maki contents. Keep up the good work and I will keep ordering 🙌🏼

Surprise gem in an out of the way spot. We left our hotel to find a bite close-by and found Nippon. Great, fresh sushi prepared for us. The spicy trio was delicious!

Decent sushi but all the rolls I tried were very soft. The fish was a bit too mushy and with the avocado and sauces it was a bit too much. Even the tempura roll could have been crispier. Good for the price point, especially with a discount through uber. Overall it’s good sushi for Ottawa, especially in this end.
You have to wait >30 mins to get your food (We were told the wait time when we ordered) but we were fine with it as we were expecting good food. Unfortunately, it was quite a disappointment. We got a platter (>$30) and the ingredients they used for the rolls were basic, inexpensive ones (i.e. fried shrimp, crab sticks). There were’t any raw fish rolls such as salmon rolls, tuna rolls that we were expecting considering we are ordering one of the premium food items on their menu. The rolls were also smaller than expected. On the other hand, the service was very nice and the takeout box was pretty.

First time ever trying sushi, and it was amazing! I ordered the rainbow and orange dragon rolls via Uber Eats. Nice presentation and high quality ingredients. Forgot to take pictures; both trays were gone before I remembered to. Will definitely be trying more soon!
