Great service and atmosphere, very cute interior and a wide range of wine selection. The food was very disappointing, especially at this price point. The duck Ragu tasted like a school lunch.

Maybe it was because I went to Gitanes the night before and it blew me away, but I was really disappointed with my experience at North & Navy. For the price point, I expected FAR better. The service felt inattentive and slow, and despite the elegant atmosphere, the food didn’t live up to the hype at all…bland, small portions, and nothing memorable at all. Definitely not worth what they charge. I left feeling let down and won’t be returning anytime soon (or ever lol)

Fantastic experience! The service and food is outstanding! A nice mix of traditional and creative elements. Each course was a standout; it was hard to choose a favorite, but the Lamb with marmalade and risotto was definitely on top. Excited to return!

Fantastic menu options. Very unique. We shared several appetizers so we could explore as many items as possible. Mains were extremely good as well. Anna was our fantastic Server. She Really made an enjoyable experience even better.

We went to North and Navy to celebrate our marriage following a civil service. The staff were so sweet! They all said congratulations and gave us bubbles on the house. Thank you for making our night special!

Fantastic..... we sat at the kitchen counter and were amazed how well everyone worked and coordinated the plates. No one looked over stressed and they all look genuinely happy to be there preparing the meals. Our plates were fantastic (Tomato & Stacciatella, Ravioli Incompiuto, Tournedos Rossini). We'll definitely be back !

Excellent food and wine. Really enjoyed the white wine from Sicily. Service was excellent.

North and Navy has a moody but lively ambiance, attentive service but questionable execution of their menu offerings. We ordered two appetizers, one pasta, one entrée and a dessert. The vitello tonnato was pretty bland and the added garnishes felt odd and the trio of small bites were so overpowering in flavour in comparison. The Uni Orecchiette was cooked well but not particularly appetizing - the sauce was tangy and smooth but it was a very "one note" kind of dish. The Tournedos Rossini was good but I couldn't help but feel dissapointed by the small sliver of foie gras sitting on top of the beef. And lastly our dessert, the peach millefoglie, was sent to our table torched on one side. This was quite an unpleasant end to our experience. The saving grace was the cocktails - the Amaro oleato was great. As well, the server was very thorough and knowledgeable about the menu. I've heard plenty of good recommendations about North and Navy but was quite dissapointed.

- FOOD: Ravioli incompiuto ($30) with mushrooms was pretty good and grew on me the more I ate. I wasn’t as big a fan of the Uni Orecchiette ($32) but I appreciate the use of uni and the sauce was great. My partner really likes the salmone & peperonata ($45). Overall, portion sizes are quite small (esp. for the ravioli) as is to be expected, so you very much may need an appetizer + primi + secondi if you are hungry. The polpettes ($15) were good but nothing spectacular. The bread and butter was OK. Overall, food was pretty decent.
- DRINKS: Really enjoyed my Amaro Oleato ($21) - very light and foamy. My partner enjoyed her spicy margarita ($16), which I thought was well-priced.
- VIBE: The restaurant interior was very cute
- SERVICE: Malcolm was a fantastic server - one of the best service we’ve received in Ottawa. He explained the dishes well and was very polite and checked in on us often.
- OTHER: Was annoying that the price of our 2 pasta dishes did not match the price on the menu (admittedly only by $2 each but still).
- OVERALL: Great service and interior. Food was pretty decent but a bit pricy for the portion sizes.

Delicious meal... mushroom ravioli appetizer was outstanding. Excellent server...well versed in descriptions of every dish. Memorable dining on our first trip to Ottawa.

What a lovely night. We sampled several dishes and some very good wines. Our server was outstanding and took the time to explain dishes we weren't familiar with and answer questions. We cant wait to return!
