- FOOD: Ravioli incompiuto ($30) with mushrooms was pretty good and grew on me the more I ate. I wasn’t as big a fan of the Uni Orecchiette ($32) but I appreciate the use of uni and the sauce was great. My partner really likes the salmone & peperonata ($45). Overall, portion sizes are quite small (esp. for the ravioli) as is to be expected, so you very much may need an appetizer + primi + secondi if you are hungry. The polpettes ($15) were good but nothing spectacular. The bread and butter was OK. Overall, food was pretty decent. - DRINKS: Really enjoyed my Amaro Oleato ($21) - very light and foamy. My partner enjoyed her spicy margarita ($16), which I thought was well-priced. - VIBE: The restaurant interior was very cute - SERVICE: Malcolm was a fantastic server - one of the best service we’ve received in Ottawa. He explained the dishes well and was very polite and checked in on us often. - OTHER: Was annoying that the price of our 2 pasta dishes did not match the price on the menu (admittedly only by $2 each but still). - OVERALL: Great service and interior. Food was pretty decent but a bit pricy for the portion sizes.

Loved the vibe and service here! The Summer Squash & Pancetta Risotto was so good, light and perfect for summer. The lamb (Agnello e Piselli) was cooked just right too. Portions felt a bit small though, and the strawberry & Rhubarb Semolina cake didn’t really stand out. Still, a great spot for date night or catching up with friends and fam. Had a really nice time! :)

Amazing food, cocktails, service, and ambience! I wish I could give more stars. We were there for dinner, and it was probably the best meal/experience we've ever had.....highly recommend!
Our server, Malcolm, was beyond knowledgeable and welcoming...and his cocktail recommendations were so good, I ended up ordering one of them twice! Also, thanks to Logan for helping make this a special meal for us.
The ravioli was delicious, as was the Tournedos Rossini...and finishing with an affogato is an absolute must. Honestly, every dish in that place looked so good, it was hard to decide! Your server really guides you through the meal, and that makes it such an enjoyable experience.
Can't wait to come back!

North &Navy has been on my “to try list” for a long time. Sadly, the wait was in vain. Our antipasti, Chichetti and our Primi, Ravioli Incompiuto were well presented and creative, however flavour and temperature were lacking. We had two Main dishes. The Halibut & Peperonata was over cooked ( fish was chewy ) , over seasoned and had an abundance of oil on the plate. The Tournedos Rossini was a confusing flavour and texture. combination. Temperature barely warm . Overall, an ok taste. Whey Panacotta dessert, another confusing texture and flavour just not good. Thankfully we were offered a replacement ( tiramisu) which was marginally better. In our selected menu items, the Italian influence was not obvious. Cocktails, service and wine won our stars. Very happy on that front . Sadly we will not return.

We loved our meal. Celebrating our 30th anniversary and it was perfect. The way the menu was described we felt like the chef was at our table and we were on Top Chef!! We were taken to the kitchen and introduced to the chef. Front of the house staff was excellent. Highly recommend!!

This was our first visit to North and Navy, and we loved everything about it. We had the polpette, the ravioli, the tournado, and the zeppoli tiramisu. Everything was so delicious. We also enjoyed a unique pre-dinner cocktail (which included espresso and olive oil!) and a gorgeous glass of wine from Sardinia with our dinner. Our server Sebastian was outstanding. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to going again.
We did the blind tasting menu and wine pairings. Everything we were served was excellent; it was amazing how the wine pairings really enhanced the flavours.

I would give this 3.5 stars. The restaurant is super cute, our server was fun and lively, but the food fell flat a lot of the time. Portions felt extra small, and the empty tortellini was crazy. Still good, but wouldn’t return.
