If you are a good cook you will be disappointed. We ordered the bistecca which was fine but the potatoes were overly spiced and unrecognizable and the carrots were tasteless and the bread was dry. We ordered the tiramisu and it was a bomb ( inedible ) ( not at all like the foto on the website). The wine was fine but the music was unpleasant and too loud but it was turned down for us. Thanks for that.

Loved the atmosphere and service. However, the antipasti mortadella starter was exactly like ordering coldcuts - nothing special and for $10 definitely not worth the price. Capaccio would have been a better menu offering. The swordfish dish for the secondi was unique and very tasty and so i would recommend that dish for something truly different. The wine we chose did not disappoint . Dessert - panacotta - nothing special and my shot of expresso was literally a table soon full in a fancy fine bone china tea cup. I would have expected a bit more for a simple expresso. Overall, very underwhelming and would not go back - also the lighting was a bit too dark which made it difficult to read off the menu. Staff was superb. The food should have matched the service.

We had great service. Laura was exceptional in her duties.It seems the menu was made for food connoisseurs as there were no descriptions of the ingredients. As a non-Italian individual, it was hard to understand the menu.Certains dishes were good. But not worth the advertised prices. The bread’s crust was burnt and tasteless. The dishes can be shared and easily enjoyed with a partner. Overall, we found it was not worth the price.The atmosphere can get very loud, it was eventually hard to speak with my partner. The tables and room were clean.Overall, good service and atmosphere but unfortunately, the food was not exceptional.

I had very high expectations for this place since it is rated so well. The food was very underwhelming, the meatballs were WAAY to salty and were very hard.. I also ordered a pasta dish that was also very salty and underwhelming. The beet butter served with the bread was too sweet. Each person of our party of six didn't "love" their food/drinks/dessert. Unfortunately, the sweetest and salt overpowered the flavour of many of the dishes. My favourite thing about this restaurant is how nice their silverware is...

Went here for a friend’s birthday dinner and was really disappointed. Considering the high rating I had high expectations for the food but was really let down. Meatballs were extremely tough and WAY too salty and my pasta was undercooked. I would have complained but I didn’t want to make a scene during her birthday. I will say the service was excellent and the general vibe of the place (decor etc) was really nice. But there is much better tasting food in Ottawa for the same price

Had an amazing birthday dinner here! Our waiter Sebastian was great, he was so helpful in describing every single thing on the menu. All the food that he recommended to us was so amazing, I loved every single little bite. He was also able to recommend good wine pairings to go with each meal. I loved my experience here, 10/10 recommend!!

It was quiet because we were early but enjoyed happy hour very much. Pastas were standout. Have had more tender meatballs, loved the fish stuffed pasta and beef raviolo. Service was fast because it wasnt a full house yet.

Never disappoints! Server was knowledgeable and provided informed and honest answers to my questions. Food was fresh, delicious and exactly how an Italian wants to eat Italian - already planning our next outing.
I attended the Cichèti event in the Bacaro (small bar area at the back of the restaurant. There were a number of new cichèti (lentil croquette with grilled artichoke) on offer in addition to some old favourites (polpette). Great cocktails have been added to the menu (Menta Notturna) in addition to the old stalwarts (Negroni). Chocolate panna cotta was quite filling. I went home fat and happy. Highly recommend that you check this place out for dinner or for some small bites/aperitifs during their 5 à 7, Mon-Thurs.
