I had been driving by this place for a while and a friend and I finally decided to try it out.The food was great. Big portions and very tasty. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and quick. I'll definitely eat here again.

Yet another Ottawa Go-to restaurant. We chose this place on a whim, and we're not disappointed!Roadhouse describes O'Brien's to a capital T! Dining room area, including good-sized booths, is spacious and inviting. Bar is pretty big with lots of seating. Plenty of screens to watch just about any sports action.I had the Ruben, that used grilled cheese to hold the smoked meat. Very good! Fries were great too. Lots of menu choices that all look great!Service was quick and efficient! Everyone is greater, arriving and leaving. Nice touch.Parking is a bit tight, but worth the effort. The patio looks like it will be a hit in the summer.I will be back when in the area. There are two other restaurants that hopefully are as good as the Roadhouse.

I was very disappointed in the meal today. I have eaten here before and quite enjoyed everything, but today I ordered the Tuna Salad and although there was plenty of well seared tuna, the rest of it was 98% kale (not mentioned in the details or I wouldn't have ordered it) and came with no dressing. I asked for dressing and after a while, the busy waitress brought it to me. With the huge amount of kale and small amount of vermicelli rice noodles, few red pepper and few onions, it was still disappointing. The tuna was excellent though. My companions side salad had no dressing either, but his chicken sandwich was very good.
Loved the fish and chips. The breading was super crispy and light. Good size if fish filet. Great beer.

Atmosphere is great. Live music from County Picker was a really nice touch. Food was hit and miss. My partner's Reuban sandwich could compete with Montreal's best. Her side salad was decent too. My Beef Dip was very average. Meat was tough and chewy, either they need to cook it less or slice it thinner. The fries were also very soft/mushy/soggy with no crisp to be found. I would definitely come back for drinks and live music, maybe try some apps, but not sure I would step up to the mains/chicken/ribs as the flavours are fine and classic but the culinary touch is missing.

We were very excited to O’Briens and had really high hopes! First time going, live about a 5 minute walk from the restaurant and was hoping it can be me and my partner go to spot when we want a quick close night out. We were seated really quickly, restaurant looked great and it didn’t look busy at all, around 8pm. We placed our orders, but only to be told at 9pm about 45 min later from ordering that our waitress didn’t place our order. We were told that the systems were down and ours didn’t work, we just didn’t understand how everyone else wasn’t affected and our waitress visible saw us many of times just waiting and serving the other tables. So around 9pm they placed our order but we asked for it to go because they were cleaning up and it felt uncomfortable staying while eating. Sadly when we got our food they did also get it slightly wrong. Food tasted great but we were disappointed with the service and left with disappointment. We are hoping to try this spot again and hopefully it will be great.
