The food here is one of the best in Ottawa by far! It is always fresh and very tasty, just like moms. It reminds me of home. The portions are large. I would have given them 5 stars however the food is not always 100%. Lately it's been good but there are times that the flavors are off or the meat is not tender. That being said, my mom's wasn't always 100% either lol. I've tried every west indian restaurant in Ottawa and this is the best. I highly recommended.

The food is very tasty! This was my first time having Caribbean food and do not regret a thing! Jamaican Jerk Chicken had amazing flavor, was moist, a little kick but not super spicy. The rice and peas is very well seasoned. Oxtail is well cooked, soft and the sauce is so yummy. The Goat Curry was also flavorful and meat was soft. Even the vegetables were soft and had a mild seasoning that made them enjoyable. Portions were large and price for value is reasonable. The only comment I might say is it took a little longer to get our food, but if things were made from scratch that's understandable, so be prepared in case you are ravenous. We dined in and noticed the tables needed to be wiped. Other than that, staff was nice and helpful. 10/10 will eat again!

I wish I took a picture. As I entered the restaurant I could smell good cooking and it was amazing. I love jerk chicken but I was craving oxtail so I had both why not? This was the best meal I had in years. Well made the flavors were spot on, the oxtail melted in your mouth the sauce amazing. The jerk chicken just the way I like it. On a bed of the tastiest rice and peas EVER rice grains cooked to perfection. Yummy fried plantain just right. Nice sauteed cabbage on the side. I will definately be back and spread the word. Great food, great price!

Hands down one of the best Jamaican meals I’ve had in a long time! I ordered the jerk and it was absolutely packed with flavour — smoky, spicy, and perfectly seasoned. The meat was tender and juicy, and the portion size was generous. You can tell they cook with real heart. I’ll definitely be ordering again soon. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Jamaican food done right!

This gem of a restaurant is delicious. Three of us came, y self and two kids. The youngest had jerk chicken. It was juicy and flavourful. Definitely the best jerk chicken I have had outside of my Auntie Maga’s, of course. The oxtail was amazing and the curry chicken was Devine. Thank you to the staff for being wonderfully kind and inviting. This is a must if you want an all around excellent experience.

Got takeout. Combo curry goat and jerk chicken. Came with plantains, rice and peas, steamed veggies and kind of a slaw (cabbage). I'm eating it as I write this. It's so good I might cry. I get weepy when the food is this good. 5 well earned stars. Just don't go to eat there... Order the large size. Take it home. Eat it and pass out on the couch. Thank you Ochos Rios. You made my day.♥️
