I came in tonight with a friend for a late night snack. Upon arrival the server seemed irritated by our presence. The restaurant was empty and he didn’t acknowledge us, even though he saw us walk in. He declined my valid piece of ID and was very standoffish when I asked why. He seemed very bothered to serve two black girls. The whole experience made me very uncomfortable and I will no longer come back. And will spread the word.

Went in tonight for a late night meal. Server was looking at us strangely and did not greet us. Very rude treatment from the server. Will not be coming back and will spread the word.

First visit to this place, yesterday Saturday; nice live jazz duo who enhanced our meal with friends. Good Bistro cuisine, nothing pretentious. Hats off to the only waitress who did brilliantly!!

I didn't have any cocktails, so I can't speak to those. But the Windsor Chicken sandwich with fries was great, as was the Skor Cheesecake. I was there for a busy event and the wait staff were fantastic.

A group of us went out to "The Oak" on a Tuesday night after hockey. The place was fairly busy at 8:15 at night. Britt brought our drinks really quickly. She was so nice and efficient. Our food was excellent as well. We will be back and we'll ask for Britt!

This place needs better management. For example: As I write this review I’m watching a live show yet google says it’s temporarily closed. It has mono sound mounted in the ceiling. Ive never seen a live show without stereo unless it was a street performer. The lighting isn’t terrible but it’s fixed and doesn’t capture more than one performer. The whole place is painted light grey (they call a black box theatre ‘black’ for a reason and this isn’t it.) There’s no stage. I an see 8” risers flipped up against the back wall but they’re too lazy to use it. The whole place was designed by someone who’s seen a lot of live shows but doesn’t understand how or why live shows work. If you’re a professional musician, I wouldn’t recommend playing here because it’s built by amateurs who don’t understand the craft. For a couple $K and a coat of paint it could be decent but they seem determined to do it do it this way instead. ??‍♂️

Visited for quiz night so cannot comment on the food (which from neighbouring tables looked quite good). The service from the waitresses for drinks was top notch. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We never had to wait for our next drink, they were always there asking if we wanted another. Hope to be back sometime soon!

Amazing Special Events Pub!! I recently held my 60th birthday bash at the One Up Cocktail Pub. Brittany the manager did a great job liaising with us regarding all the particulars of the event well in advance of the big day. Everything from the music, food, drinks, cake and decorations that we had customized for the event was seamlessly coordinated with the staff. We had a group of nearly 30 women in attendance and Ellie and Colin were dedicated to taking care of us that night. They delivered top shelf service, very pleasant and great at anticipating our needs. The bar food we ordered was also excellent. Ellie was a very experienced bartender and with Colin's assistance they made fantastic martinis and other celebratory cocktails for our guests. The evening lasted long past the intended time and we were never rushed or hurried to leave. The venue was classy, well-lit and perfectly tailored to a premium celebration which included dancing. I can't thank the One UP Cocktail Pub enough for such a super event. Thank you Brittany, Ellie and Colin for a most memorable evening.

We went to have a late lunch with some friends, food is delicious and prices are fair and decent. They have choices for almost all palates, I had the french onion soup, which was recommended by one friend and it didn't disappoint, it was delicious. Drinks were good as well, too bad wine was only avsilable on 6 or 9 ounces, bigger options for sharing would have been good, still drinks were excelent and the service was A1, very attentive and always helpful

It was great to finally enter a vibrant bar in our neighborhood in Vanier. We casually sat at the bar to enjoy a nice cold pint!

OverlyUnderwhelmed

Ordered a 375mL 40% of Smirnoff Vodka and a large fry on 2021-06-26 - Received a large fry and a single bottle of Smirnoff 5% instead. Returned it to the establishment as requested and never received my money back. Essentially paid for delivery, no drinks(due to sending it back), and a very small amount of fries at a cost of $37.14. This is the only review I have ever done for any restaurant, and I hope it remains that way, to remember never to order from this place again in my life Seeing as I have no other real recourse, I'm posting this review here, because I feel anyone contemplating using this establishment and trusting that they follow through... well, don't. It's really disheartening.

Called yesterday to ask what their seating arrangements were like. I also inquired if menu had changed & if Wing nite was the same. I was told they were. We planned the wknd around it. Arrived to be told they changed the days from Sunday/Mon to Mon/Wed. The manager was a waitress & would do nothing for us. We have been a loyal customer for many meals since they opened . We walked out to a competitor & had a great meal on their patio.

So much room for improvement ☹️The chairs feel like cheap - uncomfortable patio furniture. $25 for a plate of chicken natchos seems a bit above the market. And!, they didn't have a cocktail menu - given the name of the place that was disappointing.

It's a new place (relatively speaking), and still it smells like beer. Had to go on a day that didn't involve my wheelchair, because there is no access otherwise. Same holds true if you're on the ground level. To access the bathroom, you have to go down a set of stairs. Kind of tough to do in a wheelchair. It's nice they put a handicap button to get in and out of their place, but it's no good if you CAN'T EVEN TAKE A LEAK OK. THE PLACE. Kind of makes the button useless, doesn't it?
