This was a highlight of our trip to Ottawa! It was difficult to find a good variety of gluten free options downtown. The Orange Turtle was amazing! They had multiple gluten free cookies to choose from as well as many other yummy gluten treats. The mango cranberry banana bread was delicious. The owner was very kind and friendly as we enjoyed chatting with him. The coffee was also very good. We will be going back here next time we are in Ottawa.
Just had a nice chat with the owner, who has lived in Germany and brings German pastries to the area. What a lovely idea!
We tried the cheese scones, the blueberry almond scones, a pistachio shortbread and a peanut cookie - it all tastes delicious and you can tell that it is freshly made from scratch by the passionate owner.
I would recommend to try it when visiting Ottawa.

We saw every review was five stars. and curious as to why, decided to try this bakery on our last day in Ottawa. Another customer said you really can’t go wrong with any decision over the pastries, so we grabbed some loaves and shortbreads. The kind owner started telling us how much care and countless trials go into each recipe. Feeling bad for having to cut his explanation short, we had to run to catch our flight home. Honestly, after tasting everything, missing the flight...
