I’ve visited this sushi spot twice - once dining in and once for takeout - and both experiences were excellent. The sushi is fresh, high quality, and absolutely delicious. They also offer a very wide menu with creative, non-standard rolls, which makes it a fun place to try something different beyond the usual options.
When I dined in, the only downside was a strong fried-food smell in the dining room that lingered on my clothes afterward. It didn’t take away from the quality of the meal, but it’s something to be aware of.
Overall, this is a great sushi place with fantastic food, and I will definitely be back (just dressed accordingly next time!).

Fresh, Beautifully Presented Sushi – Slightly Salty but Worth It
I recently visited Orchid Sushi in downtown Ottawa and absolutely loved the experience. The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully plated, and full of vibrant flavors. Every dish looked just as good as it tasted, with great attention to presentation and detail.
My only small concern is that I found the food to be quite salty—so if, like me, you’re trying to reduce your sodium intake, this might be something to keep in mind. That said, the overall quality and taste were excellent.
Despite that one point, I still highly recommend Orchid Sushis. It’s a great spot for delicious sushi in a stylish and welcoming setting. I would definitely go back!

I had spicy tuna, dynamite and avocado rolls and they were up there with the best I’ve ever had. Friendly staff, good service and a good menu with lots of options. I’ll be coming back for sure on my next stay in Ottawa.

Good place. I like that they marking the options as cooked items, for those that may not want the raw stuff. I do find there could be more raw options in the making rolls section, but the Futomaki has a few more. The food I got was good nonetheless. In my order: avocado roll, Philadelphia Maki, Kamikaze Futomaki, and Rainbow Futomaki.
This sushi restaurant impressed us so much, we visited 2 times during our short stay in Ottawa. Very soothing atmosphere and the sushi was impressively good!

The Nigiri/Sashimi combo was wonderfully varied, beautifully presented, and perfectly prepared — absolutely delicious. The Orchid Roll was playful and creative, with a fun mix of flavors and textures that worked brilliantly together.
The staff were quite busy when I visited, so a bit of patience is needed, but trust me — great sushi is always worth the wait.

We really enjoy Orchid Sushi. We got the 50 piece Chef Combo tray they had. It was for myself and my partner, it was the perfect amount of food. We find it very fresh and flavourful, it’s by far our fav sushi place in Ottawa. Highly recommended when you want sushi!
